He either knows he's hurt or he goes thru some (non basketball related) s*** in real life.
I don't believe he was/is on the trading block. Lebron wouldn't sign off on it.

Maybe he was injured while watching the play on jumbotron? I don't know.

when i saw the exchange on the bench, i was thinking something really bad was happening personally--and that may still be the case. but upon second look, it does kind of seem like he's specifically not happy with lebron.

and i think lebron would definitely do something like that. durant is discussing his future with bkn yesterday. word was siakam was called into ujiri's office, i think (which isn't SOP by the the way it was reported). not saying it's happening, but i could totally see it.

Maybe it's not AD getting traded at all. It is, in fact, LeBron. "With any group of guys, with any franchise" type of move.

Of course this team would sprinkle in some drama during this moment. Hope all is good, but that was weird af. Very out of character for a dude who always says/does the right things.

he can't be until summer. so maybe helljumper's speculation was on, but i don't know...

i can't explain it; the look on AD's face and some of his body language just seems larger than learning that they'll part ways several months from now. stuff like that happens all the time. i doubt kd was crestfallen when kyrie demanded a trade.

I really don't know. I mean, maybe the guy is just going through something in his life... it's possible.

AD is a defense first team player. He might be a bit fed up with all the hype that has been going on and the team pretty much abandoning defense. He also has been thinking for a couple of seasons he was going to be the guy and the team built around him and it just hasn't happened for a variety of reasons. He has been the good soldier for awhile. Putting up a front can only last so long. Could be nothing.

maybe that All Star "slight" is giving him more heartburn than we thought. Sorry, but you actually have to play enough games for anyone to take you seriously.

Sensitive butthurt little biotch learning too well from leGM.

yeah, again, i guess i have nothing better to do this morning than gossip about sports, but i think people downplay this stuff. AD's been hurt, but he's also been a good soldier. people talk about frittering away lebron's golden years, but we're also frittering away AD's prime. even if he had been healthy, we went away from roster construction and schemes that maximize his abilities (for the opposite, see what milwaukee and denver did for jokic and giannis in terms of team building). i think it's hard to play in lebron's shadow, getting none of the credit when things are going well and instead being referred to as mr. glass and beta by your own team's fanbase. if lebron then sells you out on top of it, that's gotta hurt. again, if.

Agreed. I'm an AD guy because I think his style of play is what we need to win. Scoring 130 points is entertaining till you just keep losing.

The whole situation was a bit awkward to me. We were losing the game (shocker). Half the team is in trade rumors. The already tiny crack we had to slip into the playoffs is getting smaller and smaller. Ham doesn't know what he's doing.

Then LeBron went on his scoring spurt, gets the record, and there's a huge celebration happening.

I don't know. Definitely congratulations to LeBron on breaking a record that many thought would hold up forever.

But the whole situation around the team is weird right now and I think we saw some of that through AD.

The AD thing is a real head scratcher. No clue as to what is going on with him. Never seen him like this before.

Everybody eventually gets tired of Lebron " look at me/instagram type of" mentality ...

I was at the game last night and going thru the videos I took and notice something odd as well. Both AD and Russ are on the bench not celebrating with the rest of the team on the court

couldn't care less about russ. makes it easier to forget he's on the team

but the AD thing is just odd. i'm almost thinking he found out the team has been shopping him in potential trades

Lakers got calls for AD, apparently they were rebuffed immediately.
