To me it’s no shock Lebron is scoring so easily. Russ is the best playmaker he has played with.

 

That is true. He spoon feeds Lebron a lot of layups off pick and roll and he's great at finding him when he's sealing his man on post-ups.

 

I'm really enjoying Russ's passing since he started on this roll and his still next level athleticism and trickiness with ambidexterity .... blowing by defenders to get layups up, with a much higher % going in now than some of those stretches last year where he just lost his touch once he got there.

 

Healthy I believe we are a 60-65% win team. You’re going to argue we’re never healthy. Fair enough.

Do you get kicks out of being negative? You do know there is no prize in being proven that your isn’t good without their franchise player and 2 other important pieces?

 

I really thought he might be our best player before the season. Really hasn't turned out that way, and he's still not the greatest fit. But playing with any mega star isn't easy.

why all the pull up threes from him in this one? he was doing better lately taking the wide open ones, particularly in or near the corner or on the angle.

 

He does this a lot (so does Nunn). It works the first time and then they go back to the same well 5 more times regardless of the results.

 

yeah, the last couple games i was able to watch, he was taking only good threes, imo. even passing up some good ones (which, when you shoot like him has to happen sometimes). every three i saw him take in highlights here has been a bad one.

 

He was 2/5 from three. And one of them Lebron through him the ball with less than 2 seconds. It’s not so bad.

 

He hasn't been bad.

In fact, he's played his best stretch of games.

He does stupid things, but that's what you get w/him.

Otherwise, he's embraced his role and has done a good job. IMO.

 

yeah, haven't seen the two makes. just two really bad misses that shouldn't have been attempted (and not the one lebron handed him, i don't think).

Was going to reply to abeer in the Lebron thread about the opportunity cost of trading Russell Westbrook for Terry Rozier:

As an opportunity cost analysis to Terry Rozier. Westbrook is in the top 10 drivers at the basket per game once again this year with 16 per game. He is also top 10 in assists per game with 7.7. He is doing that off the bench in only 29 mins.

On those drives he is attempting 5.4 shots and hitting them at 49.1% (Other PG drives/game in the top 10: Ja Morant 48.5%, SGA 50.7%, Garland 49.6%, Trae 46.9%). Russ is getting off 8 passes on those drives that are leading to 2.4 direct assist and 0.6 hockey assists and 2.5 additional assists (all numbers second only to Doncic in the top 10 off drives). Funnily enough he has the lowest FTs of anyone in the top 10 drives per game - isn't that funny?

He is doing a real nice job of looking for his own shots (33% of the time) while creating for others this year (50% of the time) and its shown in how he is able to create real momentum when he comes on in the 1st and 3rd quarters.

Yeah. We can get Rozier without giving up Russ. Just depends on what the Hornets are looking for.

Sentiment here is that they definitely want to be rid of Hayward though.

 

hayward and rozier is a LOT of scratch. i don't think they'll find takers there without substantial sweeteners.
