You have to make up your mind...the roster is soo terrible, but yet somehow...we still stay competitive against good teams ,without 3 rotation players, one being our franchise player? I hate to lose too but I have eyes, this small ball hybrid stuff is actually effective.

That's his go to, but with how he played last night I think that's a higher percentage shot than anything Russ considers doing. Has Russ had a game winner as a Laker? I legit can't remember. Gun to my head, I'd say no.

Plus if there's only 8 seconds left, he has less time to pound the air out of the ball. Once he catches the inbounds, he's probably getting 3 dribbles in then getting into his action. Those don't worry me nearly as much as the last play with 18 seconds left where he just stands there. Inbounds plays by nature require movement.

I’m no way shape or form has this product been successful. You can “what if” all day long but the facts remain- without AD playing at an MVP level at BOTH ends of the floor, this team is not good. Our record as well as our non existent plan to improve things is the proof.

 

This is the kind of rhetoric that is acceptable for a team of young players who have zero expectations. This squad is the exact opposite.

 

Ham or Russ should have called TO after the bobble. I guess they just felt comfortable with Russ attacking Embiid. He did get fouled so who knows..
