I did see the first 13 games, we were 3 and 10. Obviously it’s not Walkers fault for that. Lebron Stunk and Russ started a few games and was a negative but still, Walkers not moving any needles. He’s been a net negative every season he’s played and has horrible 2-man numbers with Lebron.

I’m not writing him off completely as he’s obviously very talented but I definitely wouldn’t just place him back in the starting lineup. Schroder and Bryant earned that for now as we have actually been winning games with them.

i'm here. lonnie's good, but we have to do what's going to win us games now. i'm sure he'll get opportunities once he's feeling better.

btw, his numbers are dragged down from his time with schroder, imo.

and that's not a knock on schroder so much as it is evidence that they do similar things for us and don't complement each other well.

and honestly, it's hard to know what the key variables are because schroder's been best since AD's been out, whereas lonnie could play with him. schroder didn't play great with AD in his first stint here.

just still a lot to sort out because of injuries, yet again.

So, we successfully blitz Luka the entire 4th quarter. Then Ham inexplicably decides to single cover him when we’re up by 3 with 11 seconds left? This effin guy man…

Being a rookie, has nothing to do with being dumb. His lineups are criminal.

some of the things we've done against luka in both games had me scratching my head. like, the only guy we leave on an island against him is the 19yo rookie? just odd. and then the timing of when we double hard and when we don't doesn't always make sense to me. at some points, the mavs looked like they were just running set practice plays against the hard double. too easy. i'd rather make doncic score 50. he can, but his team has a harder time when he does.

I thought calling the timeout in 2OT while Christian Wood was clearly in bad shape was also a bad move. Should have used that opportunity to attack the rim while they were a man down, or at least force Dallas into being the ones to foul so they can call a timeout.

Instead he calls a timeout, allows Wood to recuperate, and then Wood gets a crucial block the next possession.

Baffled he didn't tell the Lakers to foul at the end of regulation: they're were only 6.7 seconds left. Even if Dallas hits both FT's - you're going to be able to eat clock and timeouts. Instead Dallas was able to get Luka iso'd on Schroeder who is like 6 inches shorter than Luka.

Lakers still had a to so they could have advanced the ball and make sure the ball got to Schroeder who is money from the line.

Also not against Ham but why do NBA coaches refuse in general to substitute in OT or even double OT. these guys are gassed - get some fresh legs in there

Yeah, Schröder did a great job distracting him on the shot to send it to OT

Yeah it makes zero sense to me why coaches feel the need to “reward” the lineup that made it to OT… by forcing them to play through all subsequent OT’s even when they are clearly gassed (and maybe didn’t even have a big hand in getting the team to OT in the first place).

With all the injuries, our options were limited for last night, but I see this mistake made too often. It cost us the Philly/Boston OT games too (at which point we had plenty of valid options to get fresh legs in there)

I also agree that you should foul when up 3 in that situation… but I wonder if it changes the decision making around that when we have recent evidence of Luka TWICE being able to expertly miss a late free throw to get the board. Very well could have been a situation where Luka makes the first, misses the second, kicks out the rebound to an open 3, and we lose in regulation. And then we’re all venting about the decision to foul.

Maybe the coach's brain was tired and gassed. Still some head scratching stuff from this guy but an awful lot of the limited firepower we have on the roster (not counting AD as "limited") which hasn't been available much of the time.

Apparently AD and DS were arguing over what the right decision was during the timeout. Based on their strengths, you can guess who favors which idea -- AD being the defensive force he is, believed in playing it out and getting a stop. DS was in favor of fouling, because he's an offensive player and fouling means he gets another possession. Confirmation on who was on what side of the debate was after Luka made the 3, DS motioned towards AD on the bench, saying I told you.

All I know is we held Luka scoreless the entire 4th quarter until Darvin decided to not double team him in the final seconds. I guess he was afraid Dinwiddie, Bullock or Hardaway would beat us.

His reading of the game is not always accurate, hope he gets better

But it's amazing how he put this team competing with half of the core rotation sidelined against a team that made WCF last year. We are very resilient, curious to see when we have all our guys back

Worst coach ever. Fire this goddamn clown already.

I'd rather have Mike Brown back, that's how bad he is.

Yet another late game blunder from Ham. How do you not call a timeout?
