If we could keep Bryant, that would be great. He is a really nice backup big off the bench. We really just need a starting quality SF to really be a decent roster.
This kid is just very consistent right now - a walking double-double. Start him with AD, go big, please.
With TB and DS playing the way they are, we get a healthy AD and Austin back we are as good as anyone. With no stand out team at this point and some ahead of us falling like rocks we are working our way into a decent position to make a run.
And Russ. Dude is literally 3rd star on team playing with bench mob. (When he can limit bad Russ effects)
winning cures all ills. as guys play better and we win more, better trades become available to us, too. it's a win/win, if you will.
Oh, him playing like this, paying an FRP for Miles makes no sense. Make no mistake, Miles is the better player and probably a little better fit, but not for an FRP
I know Bron and AD wanted to form a big 3. I don't think anyone expected our 3rd to be Thomas Bryant. He does not miss. He's been big in the final 5 minutes of 3 of the past 4 games with some big time crucial plays. A rebound here, a block there, big bucket or two. If only he could play good defense, he'd get $22-25m this summer.
ham needs to find a way to give him minutes once AD returns. AD prefers the 4, right? so keep bryant at the 5. he's done more than enough to prove himself and he put up the numbers he did against one of the best big men in the league in sabonis. you can't bench this guy
This is what concerns me about the idea of trading our expiring contracts for long-term contracts and eliminating the cap space; that likely means we can’t retain guys like Bryant and Walker Unless we hit it out of the park and nail a trade, we might be better off just developing continuity with this current group TB is so damn fun to watch, I can’t wait to see how he does against Jokic on Monday! Obviously I don’t expect him to stop Jokic, but on the other end, Jokic is very slow footed so hopefully Bryant can outwork him for plenty of easy buckets
We should maybe trust in the staff that chose, Bryant, Walker and Schroder. I'd use the cap space to keep them and Austin, in Purple and Gold for a couple of more seasons. We have 3 draft picks in the upcoming draft, we can get real solid if we play this right.
