I’m gonna say we’re at least .500 with a veteran coach. No idiotic 5 guard line ups with Brick at center. We’ll get timely time outs that only a person of experience can perceive when momentum is with the other team

You did call that. I would trade him for Brown in a second right now.

i don't think it's that bad. i was on record as being concerned about the 4-out offense given our personnel, and i think that drives a lot of the 3 and 4 guard lineups.

i'm not sure if there were better options on the market. well, vogel, but his russ rift wasn't going to allow him to stay. more russ trade fallout.

Once again, we have a good enough coach paired with a not good enough roster.
We can hem and haw over Ham’s lineups, just like we did with Vogel, but it’s always going to come down to our coach having the ability to switch in and out good players.
I hate his four guard lineups, but Ham ain’t the problem with this Franchise.

I do too. I wish we had AB instead of Pat Bev. Guy shot 39% from three even though everyone seemed to hate him last year.

Ham stayed with JTA or Brown most of the night, seems to be learning that height is needed even in small ball.

Wow! What a novel revelation! Guys who actually care about playing defense, boxing out, and grabbing rebounds help your team win games?
The coaching staff better start to realize this more if they want the wins to continue.

    Vogel >>>>>> Ham on defense.

Ham continuing midget ball in games we’re giving up 35 points a quarter seems to indicate he’s more concerned with his offense.

did I see a REQUEST for poop gifs? Because, I have like a portfolio that can easily be adapted hahahahaaha

But I don't share the same poor feelings about this coach yet. Maybe given time, but having leBron on your team, and Westbrook, and Mr. Glass.....it can complicate things a bit. I think he'd rather have had an Atlanta type of group than this, but I think we'll get his true value or limitations over time. Too many politics in play right now, but he for sure has not delivered on his "hard takes" and keep people accountable. I just don't see it.

You nailed it for me. I think he would have been much better off to not do so much talking all off-season about holding people accountable unless he planned on doing it. It seems the things he talked the most about are his weakest points. If he would have said he didn't emphasize defense or rebounding and was going small to try and be the first team to 130 points at least we would have known what to expect. I do also agree with your point of politics in play and we will know over time. That was a great post.

I feel like we all got bait and switched with all of the defensive rhetoric. That being said, LeBron and Westbrick are useless 99% of the time as defenders and our only elite defender is always in street clothes. BevMo is overrated, as is Dennis. Thomas B barely offers any resistance down low, even against guys much smaller than his big frame. Walker never has been considered a stopper and we all know the four guard lineups won’t stop the other team from scoring and rebounding.
Ham obviously hasn’t helped much with his insane lineups, but,
once again, poor roster construction is the main culprit here. That being said, I still feel like we should at least be middle of the pack defensively, not 24th out of 30.

In his YouTube video today in addition to this he said there’s no 3 guard lineup that isn’t a net negative. It’s not hard to see our best starting lineup right now is Bev or Dennis, Reaves, Walker, LeBron, Bryant.
