I'm actually not as bummed as everyone else. He just needs to come back healthy before the All Star Break.

I think we can play .500 basketball during that stretch or close to it.

But that means everybody has to be better. Ham, Westbrook, playing more suitable lineups, utilizing Christie and Brown more often, play Wenyen and Bryant at the 5.

We will see. He was bound to miss time at some point. If he gives us 60-62 games of MVP AD as an end result, and we get into the play-in, I'm good.

We're awful without AD. We have no reliable big. Our defense is awful without him. Really awful.
I don't think we will win much

In my mind it is almost a certainty it will be two months before he is playing again. Unfortunately, the price for any trades just went up as we are clearly desperate. Even so I would still get Bojan now if we possibly can with one 1st, even if no protections. A few big ifs here but if Ham can start putting out the right line ups and Lebron doesn't throw in the towel as someone mentioned and we add Bojan's scoring we can hang till AD comes back. We have a line up of something like Lebron, Bojan, Schroder, Austin and TB. Let Russ keep powering the second unit with lots of Wenyen, Lonnie, Troy and Max. Max needs to develop so he is ready come playin or playoff time. We won't have a ton of rim protection but we will have a scrappy defense and we could outscore some teams. Maybe bring Huff in and give him a shot. All we can do is give ourselves a fighting chance and see how the cards fall going forward. I see even the AD diehards giving in. Don't do that. If you watch that video close it shows his foot being bent at an odd angle. We have to buy two months. With Bojan on board and AD healthy all we would need to have a legit shot is to be in the playin. Of course a playoff spot is preferred. If it was season ending I would think differently.

I think it’s more important than ever to get some kind of good player(s) out of a Nunn Bev trade. I was hot on getting Bojan and adding a pick but clearly that should be off the table now for us. Hopefully we can do the NY trade for Cam and Fournier.

we seem to be setting up for exactly the same outcome as last season.

getting everyone back from injury late in the season, and having a late run for the play-ins, only to miss them.

Just watch Ham play Bron @ the 5 (on top of 40mins. a game) and get him injured...

Yeah. I pretty much expect AD to miss stretches so while I hate that he got hurt I’m not shocked. Especially with the load he was carrying on this roster.

Hoping we still look to improve the team and make some additions that can help us build a complete roster that can be competitive the now and moving forward.

Well, this just got as depressing as hell. I think Abeer is right: that AD's size, combined with his unreal agility, sets him up for lots of injuries. There's a reason "Mr. Glass" might stick with him over the years.

Damn. Time for Thomas Bryant to become Most Improved Player or something along those lines. He certainly doesn't lack hustle/work ethic.

yeah, it's a matter of timing and if he recovers to full strength. we stay afloat while he's out and he comes back and plays into the playoffs, everyone's happy again.

but injuries are always going to be when not if. and that's ok. only a handful of players don't fit that, and you can't get them. and eventually, they're all there. at least we got a ring.

This team’s defense is a pile of hot garbage without AD doing everything for them.
IF we had a well balanced roster, we could have stayed afloat.

wtf: this team's lack of professionalism is amazing. Still no diagnosis and the coach is leaking something different than whoever is telling stuff to Shams.

This is my thoughts as well. We simply cannot stand still and punt on the season. We need to trade for better assets in the future.

I’m being too optimistic, but maybe Shams jumped the gun with the “1 month” timeline. Because after that his next tweet said “indefinitely”.

Meanwhile Woj’s wording was “multiple weeks” and “still being evaluated” (seems consistent with what Ham just said).

If he can somehow come back within 2-3 weeks, we might still be in business.
