tatum is having another great year. jokic, doncic, giannis. but AD is basically right there with them. ya know, kinda like just prior to all his injuries? because he wasn't dead?

Man the guy never looks any different to me on a 65” TV or an 8’6” wide projected image. Face, upper body, legs or belly. Certainly not 20 lbs. He’s just not fighting any injuries currently. If there was weight loss it was absolutely minimal. For a guy his size.

I’m claiming it now based on his spectacular recovery from his start of the year back issues: He will be in the running for MVP(based on stats alone) and will play the majority of the rest of the season.
    What a turnaround!

No question he will be at or near the top of the MVP list if he can stay healthy.

Absolutely he can, he’s that good. So much just depends on luck and not only his movements and landings but those of the players around him. Just these past couple games LeBron for instance stepped on someone’s foot the game prior and semi rolled one ankle in the typical inward direction, and then against the Bucks last night one of their players fell with momentum into one of his ankles that was planted from the side and wrenched it more uncommonly with the foot turning in an outward direction shown by the replay. Both were clearly painful and if had been a little worse could have caused missed time. AD in MVP mode is constantly on the move and in the air a lot on both sides of the ball. He’s due for some good luck but really it’s just random stuff that happens to players all the time in all fast moving contact sports. What’s been great to see is the proof when healthy that he’s clearly still in his prime and a very top player in the league.

I don't think we needed proof. 29 year olds do not suddenly forget how to play basketball in 1 year.

He needed health and someone to explain to him that shooting jumpers is stooooopid.

Our (those who are for trading him) qualms are always with his availability. In fact, his recent play may have made me want to trade him even more :wink-wink:

his shot has looked so much better this season compared to the last two where it was basically a guaranteed miss. he even looked confident shooting 3s against the bucks. took me back to 19/20 when he seemed to be draining them regularly

he's always been streaky at best from three. it's just a bit outside his range. what puzzled me was that his midrange game went away--he was once good there, and it looks to be returning a bit. i think that was about confidence. note his ft% is back at 80 again. he's also back to shooting 40% from 10-16ft, which is his career average, after shooting 30% from there last year.

so, i think it all started with the physical, then became mental. and i think he's basically said that, too. mentally, he's snapped out of the funk and is back to being a top 5-10 player.

    no apologies here either

I just wanted him to put his left hand down the front of his pants to check to see if he still had testicles (He's right handed, and we ain't about that life)

Once he found he had testicles, I just told him we wanted him to act like he had them and that they still worked/were producing testosterone.

That's pretty much it. That's all I told him.

    You're welcome.

this has to be the best stretch of his career, right?

if AD can at least put up 30 and 10 most nights and lebron can stay healthy, this team is just one move away from being a playoff contender
