How awesome is the new AD/Bron/Russ unstoppable short pick and roll? Pure genius

i think they're related. when lebron was out, we had a chance to really start going to AD, and he delivered. now it's easier to justify running more offense that maximizes him instead of just playing lebron ball.

another bonus to not playing lebron ball is that your offensive success isn't predicated on cold guys being able to hit catch and shoot threes.

I think he’s pushing AD and AD is responding well.

I love it!! Mentioned it in the game time that I’m so glad to finally see AD and our other bigs (Bryant and Gabriel) get a steady diet of pick and roll. For some reason Vogel just seemed allergic to doing it.

Bev needs to be benched till he's traded. Simple as that.

It's absurd. I'm really pissed off

That guard combo makes absolutely no sense and it's an insult to Lonnie and Reaves who have been playing absolutely great basketball, winning basketball.
Also, terrible message to the team valuing status and name over performance on the court. F that

First time I'm really mad at Ham. First strike

No doubt these are some bizarre lineups. Shows how good we could be if/when Ham figures this out. Lonnie and Austin are playing great and should be out there.

It's literally freakin bizarre: typically you get things like shooting if you go small. This lineup has worse shooting, worse defense, worse rebounding. it just boggle my mind sometimes how much these guys get paid to do utterly bizarre things.

After one good game: we're supposed to forget how bad Westbrook has played in close games down the stretch.
We're supposed to believe Kuzma at 6'9 is going to be bothered by Beverly who everyone punks in the post?
Laker fans who've watched Schroeder for more then one season, are supposed to believe he's on off ball player?

How many games will this team lose because they refuse to let or due to injury can't close with Reaves/Walker

They got lucky Beal was out because Kuzma was just roasting the small ball lineup and the Wiz d****** players seemed to figure out you didn't have to guard these guys at the 3 point line

Well instead of 30 pt beatdown, it went to less than a 10 pt lead because Ham insists on playing garbagely

It’s not 1 game we are 8-2 in the last 10. We aren’t perfect but no team is. And for all the lineup issues you guys are complaining about (and I agree) the coaching staff have done a terrific job in instilling an offence and calling plays that have got AD into MVP mode.

    (Trade Bev and Nunn though.)

I’m not a fan of the lineups, Ham has done a good job all around, but it’s weird how coaches always have some weird a** things they get stuck on. I agree with takes like these

It is almost like Coach Ham didn't learn from the Indiana game. This time AD just refused to let us lose. With AD healthy and having his mental mindset back we find ourselves with the best player in the league once again. Let's not blow it with mind boggling line ups. IMO AD had a hard time getting motivated because we played Lebron ball. I do realize he also battled a multitude of injuries but it seemed more than that. I think this season he has said heck with that. I'm the best player out here. This is my team we are going to play my way. At least I'm hoping.

We need to trade Bev to save Ham from himself. He is the kind of player a coach like Ham would love.

WTF is he doing with small ball???

You go small to get advantages such as shooting and playmaking. Why go small with guys who don't bring that
Then Ham in a 5 point game decided to take out Bryant who just scored two straight possessions and put Lebron at C. Again you go small to get advantages and if you have good defenders: instead we gave away the game with a layup line to the rim.

I get no Wenyen, no AD, Walker doesn't look quite right but come on I've never seen a coach just wave the white flag like that in a totally winnable game
