Very solid game. They might be figuring it out.

This was his best ever Laker game: he may have had bigger numbers in other games but this was a playoff intensity game against a very good opponent

Nice dive on that loose ball to get us a crucial possession. Missed two at the stripe that could have iced it.

Let’s be real though, that part was on Lebron. We all knew Russ would miss at least one of those free throws. Just saying, he was put in a position to take clutch FTs when everyone including him knew that wasn’t ideal

Russ put in a lot of work with the young guys during the off-season. Looks like he has developed some chemistry with them.

Definitely one of his best games. 11 assists and 0 TOs. No loud lapses on defense or general brain malfunctions. Good effort and engagement level throughout. The two missed FTs weren't great, but I'll take it in context of the rest of his game.

Maybe he's resigned to being a bench player...accepted his declined athleticism...bought into the team concept.

Certainly his best game although it was telling that he would blow the FT’s. Still don’t trust him in the clutch but overall he was pretty spectacular tonight and instrumental in the win.

We have Reaves, AD, and Dennis who are our only reliable FT shooters. Possibly Lonnie Walker as well.

It's kind of amazing. You have a 92% shooter with ice in his veins on the floor, yet somehow the ball doesn't make its way to him with the team up 3 and 11 seconds left.

    That's on Ham.

Rewatching the game. Russ came in for his first stint and had 5 assists in a few minutes and 7 assists in that first run. We went ahead and built a lead with AD and Lebron sitting.

It’s underrated how important Russ’ play making has been for our bench. What was considered a weakness of ours is a strength with Russ running that unit of Reaves, Nunn, Gabriel and Bryant.

so glad we've gotten a chance to see russ off the bench before we attached a zillion picks just to be rid of him. he's playing better, we're playing better, and we're no longer under the gun to move him at all costs.

It is getting harder to trade Russ. He is leading our bench and playing pretty good ball and we are winning games. We trade him and start losing again, we will be hearing that idiot Rob never should of traded Russ...lol.

We are certainly seeing all the growing pains of a rookie coach. Though that should of been a pretty easy call.
