When you're a legit playoff contender, sure. Too bad we're not that, but we could use him + Nunn to find someone who is going to help us get there.

The hit on Ayton was fun, but would have been better on Booker as many have mentioned. It was still hilarious. But that's it - Bev is a clown at the end of it all. Not a contributor. Just a clown. We need real players desperately. Get this joker out of here. And take Nunn with you.

he was standing up for his teammate, something that's practically dead in today's NBA. you'd rather ayton just stand over reaves like that and no one do anything? f*** that. knocking ayton on his a** was the right thing to do

pushing someone from behind is as weak of a move as Ayton did to AR, people making it seem like that's gona make Ayton think twice next time he tries that again on Reaves, this aint Dfish blowing up scola on a screen, if teammates werent there this little poodle would've ran away like the little b**** that he is

Bev earned my respect. Ayton Button kicked Reeves. Bev should have Robert Parish'd him like Parish did to Laimbeer.

actually yes, that will make him think twice. that's why a guy like pat bev is valuable in that aspect. make it known you're not going to be able to play dirty against this team without repercussion

you'd prefer if pat bev did nothing and the whole team just let ayton stand over reaves like that?

yes, his crappy performances thus far are why many of us here have suggested his minutes be cut

but good to know you have no problem with ayton punking reaves like he did and not seeing any retaliation for it

Multiple things can be and are true here.

Is it good to stick up for your teammate? Yes.
Do we hate Booker and Ayton? Yes.
Was Bev's move bush league and dirty? Yes
Is that how I want someone to represent the Lakers? F NO
Is he a NBA player? Not at this stage in his career

He's a dirty bum who has a history of dirty players and putting players in a position to get hurt. Did we forget about Russ twice or CP in the back?

You want to do it the way, bump Ayton off AR and get in his face. A blind hip check isn't it.

 …. there’s that word again! Twice!!

    In this story:
    LOS ANGELES LAKERS

With less than four minutes left in the Lakers’ 115–105 loss to the Suns, Los Angeles guard Patrick Beverley was ejected after shoving Phoenix center Deandre Ayton to the floor. After the game, Beverly fiercely defended his actions, saying he took exception to the way Ayton and Devin Booker acted after Booker fouled L.A.’s Austin Reaves.

“Got a person on the ground, two people looking over mean-mugging and puffing their chest out and referees don’t get into it to kind of separate it, control the game, so I’m going to stand up for my teammate,” Beverley said after the game, per ESPN.

“I’m not going for that s---,” Beverley continued. “Obviously, it’s unfortunate that it happened on national TV. But you know me: Regardless of what’s going on, I’m a big fan of protecting my teammates. … I’m a
foxhole guy. I put on the jersey, and I commit to a team, I commit to a city, and it’s kind of my motto. I’m a foxhole guy. Very unfortunate situation though.

^and that's why i had no problem acquiring pat bev. he's the kind of guy every team wants to have not only because you can not only count on him to give it his all each game, but because you know he's always going to stand up for his teammates. that's the guy you want in your locker room

that said, he's been absolute crap this season and his minutes should be cut
