Very nice. Very nice. Less jumpers, more attacking.

AD hit a game winning 3 in a crucial playoff game. I'll let him throw a few a games.

Had issues with his first Q performance. He was not nearly aggressive enough. We had all their bigs in foul trouble and AD ended the Q with zero made FGs. He got to the line. Great. I want him calling for the ball every time down. Against their 3rd string C... every single play needed to run through AD.

Seems like Ham, Handy, or someone got in his ear after that. Looked like a different player when he re-entered in the second Q. He was getting to his spot and his hand was going up, calling for it. That continued throughout the rest of the game and he won this one for us with a demonstrative 38.

18/21 from the line... killed it!

He's more productive when he's not shooting threes. Now, he can try a couple, but generally I really want him to do what he's going right now. Destroy people in the paint and roll to the basket. Just beautiful.

AD to the denizens of Lakersball: “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”

Apparently he has two in a row in him. Or at least high 30s and near 20 boards.

    Great performance
It's awesome he's been able to answer in these matchups with weaker frontcourts. Keep it up!

The most impressive thing about AD the last couple of games is that I was just enjoying watching him dominate to the point where I completely forgot about worrying he was going to get injured every trip down.

Focused and healthy AD, is a top 10 player in the NBA. You don't trade that...

I’ve been asking for this version of AD for a long time now. So happy to see that he barely takes threes anymore as well.

I don’t think ANY Laker fan has ever had a problem with AD when he’s available and assertive.

For AD, I’m thinking something real nice, like a 75”+ Dolby vision HDR etc etc.

It’s enticing. The TV doesn’t miss 30-40 games a season.

*sits and waits for abeer to attack*

I wonder if we package our two first round picks with AD if we could get back a 2001 Toyota Prius. At least that thing gets up and down the court without hurting it’s back…

But honestly, I kid. I’m genuinely happy to see AD asserting himself and having some fun out there, feels like we haven’t seen this since the bubble.

Also nice to see Reaves develop before our eyes, Lonnie find some confidence in himself without a super short leash and even Russ just enjoy playmaking again.

We aren’t perfect or maybe even any good, but we’re much more likeable than last years no effort team.

:D I’m not really getting this line of joking though. I don’t recall anyone seriously saying trade AD for scraps. I said I’d trade him because he has so much value. And I only said that because the Lakers are not serious about competing anymore with him and LeBron. If they were and had pulled a Russ trade before the season maybe LeBron isn’t hurt right now from having to carry things too much. Maybe we have more wins than losses. The West currently looks more wide open that it has in years, but we aren’t in the mix because Rob, Jeanie, and the Rambii didn’t believe in LeBron and AD. So yes I change nothing about my stance, if we aren’t serous about competing, move him, trade him somewhere where he can compete and we can get a bunch of draft picks and a couple or a few good young players.

Also, it’s 14 games in, bit early for odd victory laps, I hope like hell that AD can stay healthy all season, but if he doesn’t, people that said trade him while he’s at peak value so we can start the rebuild will have been given more ammo. If you disagree with me that’s completely fine, it’s just my opinion, always has been, not sure why some people (not meaning here, but like on Twitter for example) take it so personal when you suggest trading a star to start a rebuild. I believe this team is unserious about competing with LeBron and AD, if you believe differently tell me why I’m wrong. This is likely LeBron’s last great year, this is the time to go for it, and they didn’t. Why extend him if you weren’t going to start building a team? To sell tickets?

And lastly, go back and read my post around training camp about what I wanted from AD. I posted a video of how he used to be aggressive in 19/20, he knew he was that good and he went for it. What I asked or hoped for most of all was that he get his confidence back, because he is that good, and it’s now or never while he’s in his prime to realize that again, and just dominate around the hoop. And with LeBron out, he’s been doing that, it’s been a blast to see.
