Liked him at PF. Defensively it was an issue if he got stuck on the perimeter, so I don't think it's a viable option against real NBA teams, but last night he put up a really good line. Energy and efficiency... what more can you ask for.
He's a good role player who brings a lot of energy. Simple as that. Every team can use someone like this.
Jones should be moved for whatever we can get back. Second round pick and a player we just waive maybe?
No, he’s likely not a key piece on a winning team, but I think he’s very solid and should be kept around, he’s got a real feel for defense and he’s a good finisher on offense
I was sad to let Stan go as a SF/PF defender that could cut and play make a little. But Gabriel has been a nice surprise. Keep going big fella!
got around to watching the det game and what stood out to me was gabriel's activity on offense (i knew he was active defensively). he moves his body with purpose and keeps the ball hopping. no catching and holding, very little standing. these little things matter.
Folks are reluctant to admit it for some reason, but Wenyen is a better fit for this team than Johnson was. He's young, long, mobile and fits next to any of our bigs on the floor. Good utility guy with size, at his salary, he turned out to be an excellent pickup last season.
Dang Slick, I just keep agreeing with you. I have liked Wenyen for awhile. Along with the things you listed he seems to have a good attitude, be a hard worker and will only get better.
much like in the other thread, this didn't have to be either/or. we could have stan and wenyen (and just...not bev). hell the last part is worth it.
yeah, it's the only reason that trade made any sense. lakers figured they couldn't get off THT and that bev was movable if he couldn't play. and he can't.
