lol this place is hilarious. "if you're not first you're last!" except when you're not first, and then being second is great or something.

we traded for AD to win a ring. we won a ring. i'd rather win all the rings, but...that simply doesn't happen. i don't know how to break the cruel facts of history to people.

we shall now pay for that experience until our debt to NO is done and we can start thinking about other things.

meanwhile, NO shall win zero titles and...i guess crow about getting the 7th pick from us, who will probably be a bench player at best for 5 years or something.

 

AD is an enigma to me. He seems so dominating and then disappears. Whether we use him right or not if a guy that talented really wanted to do something he could. Does he not want to be here, is he just tired of playing basketball? Does he secretly hate Lebron?...lol. I don't know but something just has him mentally checking out.

if he's subpar, you'd better brace yourself for what's coming. but you're not really a fan of the game/team; you're a fan of winning as a concept.

I think it's cause after half times teams lock in more defensively to win the game. They back the paint and throw multiple defenders at him. When AD has the ball he has to deal with his defender and another defender at the strongside, and another man weakside. 3 defenders there to challenge his shot at the rim. We have no shooters to keep the help defense honest.

 

yep. espn running articles about how we didn't get three point shooters for lebron. well, we didn't get them for AD, either. and since lebron has decided he's steph curry without the proficiency...you have our offense.

i don't really disagree. the only caveat i have is that we have never actually tried to build a team to optimize AD (and i think he's kind of saying that...again). but it's clear we prioritized lebron and his scoring title chase. ok, fine; maybe that's what nets us luka in FA years from now. who knows. i still think our treatment of declining kobe is a big part of why lebron came here and saved us from knicksville.


if we're 4-16, you'll see me at the front of the "trade everyone" line. and that includes everyone. but i'd definitely NOT move picks just to move russ and move from 11th to 9th.
