You can’t run the offense through AD cause he’s strictly a paint scorer. When teams pack the paint on us there is no where for him to go.

He gets pretty much all his points on lobs, put backs and lay ups. That’s why he’ll rarely ask for the ball cause it’ll be a contested mid range jumper that he rarely ever hits.

while i understand the sentiment on some levels, i just don't see klutch/lebron being big on this. nor AD. things can change on all those fronts, though, of course.

with the way our team is constructed, AD's offensive production is more of a measure than a cause. like shawn marion in his phx heyday. when things work, he's an expert bucket getter due to his specific set of skills and ability to exploit weaknesses. when they don't, he's invisible. everybody acts like it's because he got worse at basketball, but that's not true, imo. pioneer and i have been talking about it for two years: we haven't built a roster and offense to maximize his skills on that end.

i'm not sure that's the path to title contention, as NO knows, but it's the path to big stats for AD, which seems to be what lakers fans want. you know, because the title wasn't enough.
