THIS Russ I can cheer for. He's for the most part has accepted his role and is excelling in it. Push for that 6MotY award Russ, the narrative changes a lot if that happens.

 

I'm with Coach Ham. I want to get in on that sixth man of the year push.

 

Still need to get under control, just because he's playing against worse players doesn't mean he can't get his game straight. He's out of control on his iso fastbreaks and loses the ball too much, he still is trying from 3 and just needs to stop, I know he doesn't take many, but with how close many of our games have been, efficiency needs to be the best possible. Looking at it, he's 1-6 from the corners and 0-10 from his favorite spot, left of center beyond the arc.

 

Maybe he plays to hard to fast and your legs go right away

again, we need to look at it longer, but it's so annoying we didn't get a chance to look at this last year at all. and that's on russ, not vogel, imo.

anyway, i'm really hoping he finds a ride into the sunset as a high-impact bench player. what a great redemption arc.

I know it’s still small sample size… but if we no longer can rely on Lebron to run the offense, we may legitimately need Westbrook more than most packages of role players we could realistically get for him in a trade.

There are stretches where our offense is atrocious when Russ isn’t pushing the pace and making things happen.

 

Thomas Bryant also plays solid defense and can hit the three

20 games before big changes. We may be happier than most people think after that.

Lebron is sick maybe? Start Westbrook and bring Lebron off the bench until he's feeling better then. Lol..never happen...ever. Beverley is not looking good at the moment. 30 mins is a lot of playing time for that level of production. If he can't cool off the scorers similar to his size, it might be a good look to see what someone else has on that night. There isn't anything wrong with playing Russ more, if he's in rhythm.

 

Hell of a game from Russ. I'm glad he cut out the God awful mid range bank shot from his repertoire. It's either a 3 or a drive to the rim.
