We’re low key much approved athleticism wise. Lonnie, Brown Jr, Nunn, Schroeder, Westbrook, Lebron, AD (without the back), Bryant, Wenyen and Jones could all be called athletic to an extent.

yeah, when we signed him everyone was like "can't work under pop, can't work anywhere", and i was like...that's not necessarily how things have worked over pop's career. there are guys that don't work anywhere but SA, but there are also guys that worked in places but not SA. walker appears to be one of them. the fact that they keep drafting wings and trying to develop them simultaneously also hurts all of them.

Man he was great, he was almost our entire 3 point shooting along with Ryan, 5-9.

I’ve been very impressed so far. I love how aggressive he’s been going to the rim, and his movement off the ball. Defensive effort has been solid and consistent too.

Lonnie and Troy have been solid pickups IMO.

Lonnie has struggled with consistency in his career and getting pulled by Pop when he makes a mistake. We have a different kind of environment, you can make mistakes if you bring effort, and he is thriving.

Low key, loving how hyped Westbrook has been for this young man’s success so far!

This is a good situation for him here, all we need from him is to play hard and play his game.

I’m beginning to forget his awful clown hair with his continued good play.

All the s*** Pelinka has taken for him and Troy, sight unseen. But you know what …. why would anyone assume these choices are solely Rob’s in the first place. There’s a reason our draft picks have been outstanding for better part of a decade now as well as our undrafted pickups of late. Our scouting department and by committee player evaluation in the FO doesn’t stop with players coming into the league. Certainly the same kinds of criteria and methodology get applied to players already in the league. Aside from the knowledge “for sure” if mentally these guys have it or not for the bright lights in LA.

can't remember if full story came out, but i think it was implied he asked to be let out of the RFA situation, and they obliged. but that means they didn't value him very much (see my other post about how they drafted and signed too many young wings in a short period of time).

i think a lot of it was kneejerking to him being a klutch client. when in actuality, this is another situation where klutch association helped us. lonnie doesn't ask about of a 6 million QO unless he knows he has six million coming from us and a role to go with it. having the agency tied so closely to the organization allows that kind of trust.

will/does the klutch connection hurt us? yes. but so far, it's a huge net positive.

Didn't think he'd be this good tbh. His athleticism was a big need and its so impactful for us on both ends. And having a player that can explode offensively is so important these days as well

Am loving seeing Russ still able to explode to the hoop for layups if he gets a seam or a defender juked.
