Yeah, just like Bazemore. Baze played few games, hit some shots, not a bad defender... Preseason 8/3/2, shooting 37% for 3... you know, nothing spectacular, but with nice defense it's respectable. Then the season starts and he's like: OCTOBER 7.5/2/1, 42% for 3... then spirals down and ends with something like 2/2/0 to end the season. Basically: Nunn started with a nice 12.5/3/2.5, shooting almost 41% for 3 in the preseason. He is @ 4/1.7/1.7 now. Shooting 23% for 3. Give him time, it can always get worse.
Unbelievable they went with this dude over Caruso. How many millions have they lost on jersey sales, concessions, etc to go cheap. Caruso and Reaves and even with the disaster of the Westbrick they would be a solid contending team
He’s looking like the odd man out. Not sure what we could get for him. He’d have to be part of a larger deal.
He's still feeling the everlasting gobstopper of an injury, the knee bone bruise. Seriously though, his shot is off, massively and that points to legs and his injury is lurking still. His value is down and we won't get much return for him like this. I think, or I hope, GMs know this is not the real him. He's way too young to call it in. I just don't think many will value him too much right now.
with him and bev in our pocket, we have enough cash for an impact deadline acquisition that doesn't involve russ.
either, i guess. caruso only makes a bit more than nunn, so you could argue that could have been his salary slot and we just don't use the mini mle last year. anyway, he's a 6 million expiring, and if we have more injuries at the guard spot, we may need to put him back out there. but for now, i think we should shelf him.
The season is 6 games old, and Kendrick Nunn missed the entire previous season. I'd like to give the kid some time to get it going, picking up Beverley is still a headscratcher to me, I'm not convinced that he is any better than Nunn at the moment.
