the kawai argument is just deflection or "whatboutism".....why do we care what kawai/clipps do for him? also kawai has degenerative knees, whats AD problem?

    Exactly.

Like who cares what Kawhi is doing? Him being made out of glass doesn’t have anything to do with AD being injury prone.

I mean I’d trade Kawhi for what I could get if I were the Clippers too. They’re right on the cusp of being great and his health holds them back. Doesn’t matter what he did before, he’s damaged now, that injury seems degenerative just like they said it was a few years ago. But yeah, has nothing to do with AD, who is also IMO prematurely breaking down, and we’d be wise to sell now.

hey, at least you're consistent. i bet a bunch of folks would trade AD for all these guys that get injured as much or more often than he does.

and honestly, f*** your whataboutism. the commentary is on commentary. the tweet that brought my response was about how people talk about it, not about it whether it's true or not. let's talk about everyone the same way. if AD's mr. glass, then there are about 12 other guys paid similarly that don't catch the heat. meanwhile, i'm on a forum of folks who live to troll their own guy. i'll keep calling out the stupidity when i see it.

khmr: do you want kawhi leonard on your team? kevin durant? do you want to trade AD for three very available rotation players who aren't stars? will you stop whining then? guys get hurt. AD's been outplaying the three guys you want to trade him for with a bad back. once AD is gone, everyone will be lamenting the fact that we don't have an AD-level player and concocting trades for AD types in other places.

hell, we're trying to trade several future picks for myles turner as we speak.

i already said we be getting pennies on the dollar for AD....as for wanting kd, kawahi whoever else, thats not happening even if kawahi was playing 40gms a yr they still wouldn't take AD....as for you abeer, thats always been your go to in defense of AD, "what bout that guy or this guy"....do they play for the lakers? no, so I dont give an F about them

I do think it sucks that he gets labeled while others skate by with just as many injury issues and I’d prefer to keep AD..

…but I would listen to offers as the back does concern me. And if the front office is just going to mail it in the next couple of seasons then I think there is validity to wanting to get something in return for AD.

I much prefer building a team that works around him and LeBron but I do understand why guys are entertaining the thought of moving him.

Oh, we’d definitely get offers for AD. I’m sure we already have.

Great start to the game for him. Good touch on his J all night. Missed seeing those shots fall for him.

He's clearly not ok with that back. He got blocked more than usual and isn't jumping until/ unless he needs to. Pushing through it and wanting to stay in the game. Props to him as long as it's not going to do any additional damage as the season grinds along.

    I grimaced after that one

Another great game but yeah not gonna lie seeing him aggravate the back again took a little bit of steam out of the win for me. He seemed to be able to finish out those last few minutes fine, but it feels like we’re going to have to be on pins and needles wondering if he might tweak his back on any given play.

The “Let’s just hope that more basketball throughout the year will improve AD’s back” gamble is one I wouldn’t take.
However, our FO won’t consider trading him until the summer, at the soonest.
I wouldn’t trade him for any package, but I would be listening to anyone who had a younger, more dependable star they might be willing to send our way.

I applaud him for playing while in pain, but it’s worrisome.
How’s it going to heal if he keeps playing?

How did he get injured in the first place. All I heard was "AD is in the best shape of his life". Then it's "back tightness" after 1 preseason game and now he's moving like a grandfather at times 5 games into the season? He's gonna need at least 2 weeks off so this doesn't linger. We'd lose every single game without him though. He's such a game changer out there for us.

A great deal of the time that lower back tightness you feel or light spasms are caused by an imbalance in your core strength. Many times athletes work on the abs much more than the back and that is what causes it. There are many exercises and stretches that will correct that fairly quickly. Now if it is an injury that is a whole different game.
