Damn, he's looked good this pre-season. I didn't think he looked comfortable in last summer's limited run, but this summer he looks sharp and confident and HEALTHY (most importantly). One big benefit they've been drilling home on the LFR pod and the proof is in the assists, he's a rarity with the Lakers where the D has to fight over the screen due to his J. That takes one man out of the play and is one less read he has to make, making life as a playmaker simpler. I think he should come off the bench because he'll get the chance to cook when he can get more touches. He's not going to have the ball in his hands enough as a scorer with the starters to get 15-16 a night. With the reserves, that's doable.
Nunn can avg 16-18 pts a game as the bench scorer. He doesn't have to start, but that doesn't mean that he won't be in the closing lineup.
His shooting will come down to Earth a little but he might end up being our 3rd best player out there.
Based on this pre-season and how he played before his injury he is our third best player now. Austin not far behind. Two talented players with complete games.
in 82 games, kendrick nunn may shoot 0-6 from three in maybe what, 3-5 of them? i think he'll shoot closer to 40% than 30%.
Even Curry has bad shooting games, it is what happens to 3 point specialists. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
I think Coach Ham was looking at some things. I don't expect to see those line ups in regular season. Hopefully this last game we can see the starters and what we will look like. I really want Nunn and Reaves in that starting line up. We need to set a good positive tone early.
if we're going with AD and lebron at the big spots, i guess i'd go with your idea for the other three. i fear ham swaps bevs for reaves or nunn, though. if we're going to be bad defensively, let's throw the house at teams on offense. we have some guys who can create shots and some guys that can really finish.
It would be good vibes from them in the starting lineup to try to counteract and mask the terribly bad juju from Russ.
From what I've seen, I'm not too impressed. Hopefully that changes if we have any hope of at least sniffing the playoffs.
Interesting. Excluding last night, I'd say he's been our third best player. Considering I wasn't sure he was alive or could walk nearly three weeks ago, I'd say 3rd best Laker is a pretty impressive feat.
I must have caught him on a bad night, but you know your stuff so I look forward to seeing him ball out.
You’ve been pretty down on the team as a whole for someone who hasn’t watched the other pre season games. The team has been playing well and had a pretty bad last game. But it’s a bit much to be so negative over 1 pre season game?
