Hoping he can space the floor, block shots, and just effect the team with his energy. The trajectory could really go up with this team if he can space at the 5...
Our best player on the court tonight. Looked a lot better out there with 18 & 7. Nice activity on D, as well. Next step is seeing if he was eating because he was the only Laker capable of scoring or if he's getting his mojo back. If he can find those opportunities next to Bron, AD, Nunn, and Russ... then we're getting somewhere.
I’m hoping he has a chance to start next to Russ, Nunn, Lebron and AD. I think he can pop and roll - and he defends a bit too.
better game from him. liked his defensive activity. his shot hasn't been close to living up to billing, but otherwise solid. unfortunately, the shot was a big reason why the signing made sense.
They look makeable though. One of his 3s rimmed out and another hit the front. Shot looks good (form, release, proximity to the rim). So that's promising. I think his issue is he needs the in game reps.
his shot looks flat, but i guess it always has. his aggressiveness in the paint on both ends has been nice, though. i agree with others that it's worth seeing him with the starters, too. i think jones won the job in camp, though.
Looked a lot better this game. I think its a matter of knocking off rust with him rather than skill. He's shown flashes in Washington whenever he wasn't injured.
I thought he looked pretty good again in only 12 mins. I was really high on Jones, but so far I’m liking the energy Thomas is bringing a bit more. I’m not down on Jones, he just seems a little more situational right now where Thomas’ hustle looks like it could fit with any unit.
Limited action, but I think he's shown to be better option of the two. He's just a bigger center with more range and can use his build a bit better. Jones has regressed since last year and I think TB is still getting better and closer to the healthy version of himself with each game. According to tonight's reports it looks like AD may get more use at C than we thought. Then you have Gabriel's impressive play, leading some in the organization to believe he's the second best C currently on the roster (per the latest Anthony Irwin pod). I was certain one of the two new Cs were going to start and AD was a lock at PF. Now, no clue.
hearing AD at the 5 is the last thing I expected after signing two centers. I suppose it makes them tradeable assets at some point, but really?
