Max is going to be a really good player. He is going to get some playing time because Ham can see his potential. Austin and Max are going to end up being a hard duo for teams to deal with.

Considering the guys Ham hired onto his coaching staff, I hope we develop Max better than our previous young players.

Christie has looked better than I expected so far.

Yeah he’s not shy out there one on one offensively and moves really well on defense.

Yes, I'm liking this kid more and more every time I see him and I already liked him a lot. We are stacked with young talent.

Which young players did we fail to develop?

There's about 7 teams that I think are going to be actively tanking in the Western Conference.

On the back end of a back to back against OKC or Houston, we can sit AD & LBJ and play Christie, IMO.

I would like to us expedite his development and learning curve as quickly as possible. I believe his defense is NBA ready for the most part. The next evolution is getting his 3-point shot above 35 percent or so.

i think with more reps he can be and effective pick and roll ball handler, too. he misses some reads now, but i've seen enough good passing from him off those to be a believer. honestly, we should have him attached to reaves's hip to learn how to play at this level.

He also doesn’t mind iso’ing and dribbling into pull-up twos.

Which certainly takes a bit of confidence.

I think he is going to get minutes. Certainly in garbage time but maybe other times to help with D and if he can start hitting from mid range would be sweet.

I'm starting to think so, too.

We just have so many guards.

But I'm really starting to like him.

When he hit that corner 3 in the second half, I almost jumped up for him.

    I love his rebounding, low-key.

    Grabbed 6 rebounds today?

Didn't shoot particularly well, but that's okay. That will come.

He’s been able to get good mid-range looks creating for himself or moving off the dribble. Not hitting them at a good rate, but that’s not a surprise with the inexperience. Overall I’ve been impressed by him from what I’ve seen in the preseason so far. A garbage time player at most for us this season, but maybe a solid rotation player next season.

Needs to get more comfortably offensively and put on a bit of size and he can be a great 3&D SF.

noticed this in summer league, and it's translated with the big boys. he has a nose for the ball and goes after it.

i like him better as a good-sized sg, but yeah, a bit of bulk and he could pass as a sf.

OKC, SAS, SAC (possibility, may try to win at beginning but revert to tanking) Portland (same situation as Sac), Utah, Houston.

That's 6 teams. Others may join the party, too.

My opinion. Think @abeer3 named Denver and Phoenix as possibilities, too. If Denver gets injured (Murray already out with a hamstring, although they say hit serious) and CP3 falls off a cliff. Maybe Ayton starts an implosion

yeah, denver's unlikely simply due to jokic. i just see that they're paying porter and murray huge money plus a decent chunk to gordon. they may look to diversify moreso than tank.

anyway, there's always one unexpected bad team. last year it was us!

Honestly I'd rather him get the reps in at South Bay vs. the occasional 5 minute burn in garbage time with us. We're waaaay to deep to be able to develop him at the big boy's league. He can learn, grow, fine tune, lift, and get his 1000 hours in at the JV ranks this year. At the very least I want him to bulk up and get consistency in his shot release this year. Then we can re-evaluate in a year.

What I like best about him is he can already play defense at this level. He just needs some fine tuning with his shot and grow into his body.
