    so nothing then.

i'm actually fine with rob covering his a**, and i think it was actually pretty informative, tbh. all the other stuff we've heard wasn't from us, and this definitely was.

i also did not at all get the tone that we're scouring the league for deals. we looked long and hard at it, went all the way up to the last possible minute, and indy was being a pain in the a**. note that rob/the source didn't really throw them under the bus, either.

anyway, i'd rather hear something coming from our folks than let the twitterati speculate about everything (in the most negative way possible). but i guess i just learned they'll speculate negatively about that, too.

Disagree, it was all old info. We knew this trade was on the table, we knew both picks were the holdup. I for one am good with not doing it, it’s an overpay to fix a mistake. What good does this do for the team putting this info out there? What good does it do for Russ? All it does is try to make Rob look good, it benefits no one else. Sorry, we tried to trade Russ, you’ll just have to deal with watching him now. Uh..yeah, we knew that already. This whole thing is beating a dead horse, just leave it be.

All our big moves with Pelinka have been under the radar. Pat Bev, Schroder, Harrell, even our free agents this year. Only exception is AD for obvious reasons

I agree that there's no added value to the situation with this leak

i thought there were tidbits in the article that we didn't know in addition to confirmations of things we thought we knew.

for example, everyone's been operating on the assumption that we're planning on using cap space next year (and making fun of us for it), and i think this article threw cold water on that in a couple different places.

Yeah I get you. But at the same time, I never believed them with that stuff. They have leaked all summer that if Indiana would just take 1 first Hield and Turner are Lakers, and if you’re making that move there’s no cap space plan. Hield is under contract and you’re trading for Turner to extend him. I suppose it’s interesting they put it out there they aren’t all in on Kyrie, but I never really bought that either, you’d have to be really dumb to put all your eggs in that crazy basket.

Which implies to me that this deal isn't happening at all. If there is a trade, it won't be anything, that's been speculated on at all. Follow the actual moves that Rob has made, he's been true to his MO so far IMO.

Russ and Bron ball watching. These guy aren't gonna change for the long hall, plus of course they feel they have nothing to prove in preseason (Lebron especially). Their value will have to come on offense Just hope they can both be neutral on defense

Move him now. Just pull the trigger on the Indy deal. That’s just where I’m at. Not worth wasting more time on this.

yeah, russ allowing that unimpeded dive cut really negated AD's containment on that play. this is why i felt like AD started loafing early last year. he saw too much of that and realized his efforts were wasted.

    He played well yesterday.

Ya boy only bricked 1 midrange.

If he dropped a 50 piece it wouldn't matter to me, it's still a preseason game. These games are for the youngsters to show some worth IMO.

It should matter to you. It will actually show how we're going to utilize him in the regular season using new look scheme and counters.

Man, what am I going to do for dinner.

I'm honestly more interested in the kids. I think Russ will be fine, really do.
