Hard to figure out Russ motives for the sale. Getting traded? Cashing in on the house now since the market is starting to dip? Downsizing? Who knows. Fun to speculate though.

Brick is selling his house because he can't get his cars into the garage. He keeps hitting the side of the garage, or driving into the front door instead. He needs a garage the size of a costco.

the house wouldn't let him be himself. sure, some people like windows, and most houses have them. but russ likes to throw rocks all day, and the house wouldn't adjust. he's looking for a really nice, bright, spacious house that will accommodate his fervid rock throwing. if the next one doesn't work, he'll burn it to the ground.

I don’t think Westbrook is struggling for money, he made 70+ million last year and earns very well off the court. Even if he loses all his endorsements and never gets another NBA contract, his past business deals and investments made will probably earn him 10m alone per year.

So it stands to reason, he wouldn’t sell a home in his home city unless it was a smart business decision. He may have various homes in LA or be buying something new with the proceeds.

The alarm company put one of these in his yard. He misunderstood. Said f*** no, absolutely not. Packed and moved the next day.

Seems to me IF Russ would actually buy in for the good of this team that is paying him 47M dollars this year to play the game of basketball ….. to actually do his best at everything Ham asks him to do to try to help the team have a puncher’s chance at a ring (that he has never won and would look terrific added to his resume for the Hall) …. INCLUDING being willing to play a super sub role off the bench if works best for this team, and Darvin asks nicely ….. that it would be actually a great thing for the team and for his next contract to maybe not fall off a cliff this free agency.

All about attitude and his pride though and I just don’t think there’s any possibility he will have that kind of attitude adjustment.

I don’t think he will adjust to this extent either LT. But, if we ask him to adjust 100%, the value Westbrook has is just not that great. I think as a fan base we have become very down on Westbrook but he still has some tread left and I think Ham is hoping he can maximise that.

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding what you mean or if you are with what I meant. If you mean if we keep Russ from being any of the "Old Russ", that's not it. Russ could be Russ of Old and terrorize benches and we could run their a**es off and out of games sometimes while LeBron is resting. A new "bench mob". Russ could be our new ....

According to the latest starting projection I saw, supposedly we will start out with the lineup envisioned when we made the Russ trade.

Russ, Nunn, Lebron, AD and Jones is what Lowe is saying. I'd probably go with Bryant at 5, but I'm not complaining. I'd like to see what this 5 looks like on the court.

    ^
    sell·out
    /ˈselˌout/

    noun
    noun: sell-out

    1. the selling of an entire stock of something, especially tickets for an entertainment or sports event.
      • an event for which all tickets are sold.
"the game is sure to be a sellout"

    2. a sale of a business or company.
      • a betrayal of one's principles for reasons of expedience.
"one of the biggest political sellouts in decades\

That's what it means, but I'm not sure what it means in this context. :)

I've already done my part and forwarded each on over to the Jazz and Pacers.

i know this sounds weird based on my general stance, but nothing would make me happier than a russ redemption tour. i was basically a big russ fan until last year, where he disappointed me with both his play and (moreso) his response to it.

my interests are currently aligned with him doing well and the lakers returning to prominence. and despite my wishes to remove him, i've also been on record that we're better off trying to make it work with a new coach/roster than paying through the nose to move on.

At this point if he’s starting the season here what can you say (unless you have to remain bitter with zero hope before we see) except do it Russ? And all you guys no one expects much out of … molded by this rookie coach and his by appearances high quality coaching staff. Certainly Handy is elite at development. And hope for the injury gods to smile once again upon us.
