Coaches will always over play him cause he's "Melo". Thats the risk in him having a roster spot.

Just be sure there's clear communication with Rob this time. Gladly welcome him back as a 3rd string C

Please bring him back. He's very good in limited minutes, still plays hard, gives his best on the floor. Plays D, can still finish well around the basket, great veteran presence. I just love what he brings to the team. Shot 53% for 3 (!), his FT% was better than ever. Why not bring him back for the minimum... who is better out there?

Damian Jones please. He’s younger, can play much more, and is a vertical threat, something we did not have AT ALL this season except for the few games AD played after dropping the added weight before he got injured again. I like Dwight, but dude is not the same anymore, I’m only bringing him back if most other options are exhausted and only as a 3rd big.

    porque no los dos?

one twitchy center, one brute center, and all other minutes to AD/lebron. i'd love howard back in the same role he had last year.

Because I’m afraid the Lakers are not that smart. They signed DeAndre Jordan when it was clear he was done and knowing he and Dwight were redundant. Now I think they’d overcorrect and see Jones and Howard as redundant, end up looking at centers who can shoot threes but are no lob threat or rim protector in the slightest. And if I can only have one perceived Dwight type in this roster I want it to be Jones. Can’t believe we let him walk in the first place, he was the perfect vet minimum C.

we really had so many questionable moves this year...

so glad the suffering is over. Let the guys heal and get healthy, and let's reboot a new coach and roster.

But whatever you do, keep Kurt. We might want him on the bench as an assistant coach one day to spy on things for the front office.

actually an interesting idea for him. i worry about his back issues, though. but i could see him developing a persona that would engage fans of this sort of thing. and he's got the muscles. though watch how skinny he'll look next to the wrasslers. i remember when karl malone did it, and i was like, wait...what?

His back is so jacked. He's also worth millions. I highly doubt this is anything more than a fun publicity stunt. He's not getting in the ring, and if he does, he's not taking punishment.

yeah, it's a fake sport, but the falls and stuff are real wear and tear on the body. it's high impact acrobatic stuff these guys are doing. sending a 40-year old with a history of back surgery out there is irresponsible.

So many wrestlers are addicted to drugs/painkiller on top of all the 'roids. There's a reason the long-time wrestlers typically don't make it past 60.

malone was built like a tank. dwight was pretty jacked in his orlando days but he seems to have thinned out as he's gotten older and with the injuries

And that was after his last season with the Lakers and finished with basketball so 39-40 years old? I was thinking the same thing looking at that photo.

it was actually 1998. super weird. my friend's brother was a HUGE wrestling fan, and we were all basketball fans, so it was like, the cross-over event of the century.

but again, the photo in this thread doesn't quite show it, but while malone looked gigantic on a basketball court; he looked sort of average next to hulk hogan. which makes sense, of course, but it was weird as someone who always watched basketball. i wonder what shaq looked like next to that giant guy, for example.

but malone was definitely huge, by any standard.
