If we strike out on a superstar, add three quality players - Rondo, Biyombo/Dalembert, and a wing. We roll.

Is Charlotte not going to match the qualifying offer for Biyombo?

Hmm. You and I have been the biggest proponents of Upshaw. Now you say something like this which makes me question everything you have ever said...about anything...ever. ;) :D

I get it would be cool in theory, but we don't need anyone who could sap minutes from Clarkson and Russell. And while Upshaw has issues, they seem to be more in the personal demon arena. Rondo's issues are cancerous to a team.

Biyombo and KJ McDaniels are my two consolation prizes. Ronnie Price can be our third stringer. Rotation that looks something like this:

    Russell/Clarkson/Price
    Clarkson/KJ McDaniels/Kobe/Russell
    Kobe/Young/Nance
    Randle/Biyombo/Nance
    ?/Black/Upshaw

You can't capitalize a letter after a punctuation mark for some reason. You need to put a space after the punctuation, then you can capitalize it. Example-

    D'angelo Russell
    D' Angelo Russell

It's actually the intended function. It basically formats it to follow a standard. If someone creates a title like, "i love food", it'll become "I Love Food" where the first letter of every word is capitalized. I just turned off the function though so this shouldn't be a problem anymore.

I agree with everything you've said. I'm on board with all those adds. Dalembert?

It's not a screwup in the system. It was a setting somewhere in the forum controls that I've been looking for for a while. I implemented the setting so people couldn't post all caps thread titles (because that annoyed me), but when I saw other things it affected, I wanted to fix it, but I have to sift through a ton of controls. Haven't found it yet. I'm still looking.

Maybe @thkthebest knows where to find it?

Mitch had an interview with Cowherd this morning.

Said they locked in on Russell about a week ago.

He interviewed with DP too but I just missed it on the way in this morning. DP brought up the tweet thing with Larry Nance and the guys made it sound like the Lakers didn't much look into the social media of these prospects. We're still holding some old school ideologies here if that's true. I'd definitely look into their social media pages to see any red flags. Most employers do that nowadays anyway.

Hard to believe we missed that and some random twitter guy found it within 15 minutes of the guy being drafted

I think after the selection I was sitting shotgun next to Real as he was driving downhill. But I've grown on Russell. We haven't had this good a PG in some time and he has the potential and attitude to be great. I hate the argument that we got him to compete with all the great guards out West. It makes sense to get a PG with all the free agent C's that are available this off season and I feel like we will be getting one of them. Endorsement from Jerry West is huge and B Scott has always been good with PGs. Kobe is a more natural mentor and hopefully Nash is still around to teach him and Clarkson. He's going to need time to adjust, especially having to go up against all the great PGs but I think he's a kid that can handle it. Having a good playmaker like him will also be able to attract FAs in the future (KD?). Okafor is in the past now; full speed ahead with D'Angelo Russell now.

I was in the backseat with LT and some others, and I went through the exact same thought process. Russell will take us to the promised land
