Every player has a funk, but his funk is unrosterable in the NBA bad. Maybe the constant flux of inconsistent lineups, roles, and minutes destroyed him? Not an excuse just trying to make sense of it. There's better players who can't get back in the league. If he gets traded and cut/ bought out, I think he has a rough journey getting back in the league. But with Rondo, he had already pieced together a Hall of Fame career and tales of playoff Rondo were being told in front of camp fires before we saw it up close and personal. Baze doesn't have any of the going for him.

He made Ariza, who ate his minutes in the second half, look like prime Scottie Pippen by comparison.
Hopefully I didn't get too many hopes up with this bump. But since tonight is our last chance to get rid of him, I'm trying to wish it into existence. If we could dump him for a mop bucket, it would be an upgrade.

All this means is Baze is getting no interest from any teams so far this summer. Of course there’s a reason for that……he’s no good.
If I'm him, I'm hoping to stick around to pick up another million dollar paycheck for not playing as well. Nice to hear the kind words, but we definitely didn't see him at his best last year.
