I still think it's a terrible idea to give up a 47 million dollar expiring contract, and a future 1st round pick, for ANYBODY with recent injury issues.

I'd almost agree with that, but... that's almost anyone, really. Most great players have had recent injury issues.

    Ideally but unlikely.

I think this teams negotiating in the media. Already seeing differing reports.

Don't mind Rozier as a sweetner if you want to consider him that. Think he's being overrated.

But if you want to give me draft compensation, I'm listening. I'd ask for a first...lol. Mitch probably doesn't do that, but heck why not? You're asking us to take on 2 years of Hayward...I'd take a couple of seconds, though.

    I'm probably being greedy.

I think Rob has got some room to work here. The expiring will be valuable to multiple teams and gives us some room to negotiate. A first would definitely be nice.

They went 34-38. That’s a big difference you missed there abeer. The team starting 5-15 when you’re banged up and finishing almost .500 with that roster is actually outstanding.

I’d do the Hield and Turner deal but I don’t want Brogdon. I’d also trade with Utah but I don’t see the fit for them.

Hield and Turner would be great but I definitely think they’d try to get us to take Brogdon.

We’d need someone from Utah to force their way here IMO. But who knows what happens if they flame out of the playoffs and decide to get rid of Quinn.

No, I can't respect his selfish play on offense and no defense. I know some of you guys like him and that is great. It is just barely within my range of tolerance to even watch the games with him playing. Certainly no offense intended to those of you like him.

It's all good brother, different fans have different takes. For me get me a chip and I'm cool. I didn't care for Vogel but he won a ring as our coach. I respect that.

is it? is that what we aspire towards? is all that westbrook, given that he was their second-best player?

It is a big difference, it’s 10 less losses. At the pace they were at, in an 82 game season they hit .500 or slightly better. I think it’s safe to say that them making the playoffs was all Westbrook, Beal missed a quarter of the season and they didn’t have much of anything else. Also Beal had his best season last year scoring 31 points on his best efficiency so not sure what to make of that? Was that westbrooks effect on his partners scoring that he has had on PG, Harden, KD and Lebron?

No it’s not what we aspire too, but there’s no need to move the goal posts. Westbrook by no means was rubbish last season and he gets credit for the carry job he did at Washington.

Trade Tucker and Nunn for him then, Westbrook needs to bring a big man in, add a long wing to that and everybody's happy.

i agree that due to the expiring cash, he's not a "super negative". he's just a negative asset. so, yeah, you're eating some bad salary but not necessarily attaching picks. honestly, in some situations, we'd be right to ask for picks.

i've also floated the idea that westbrook might shave 10 million off his buyout, which could make him even more attractive in trade for some teams. some of that's on rob (and maybe klutch, too)--they need to be actively trying to find a russ a new home, in concert with his agent. if they can get some team to pledge a 2-year full MLE type deal, they could maybe get his buyout down far enough that he returns something even better.

Lakers are going to be in for a rude surprise of they are going to look for the perfect option for Westbrook.

I think they have to get rid of him: the fan base hates him and they were speaking with their wallets by stopping going to games.

Your going to take a contract like Hields or Haywards plus another big contract to make this work. By definition these are players who their current team doesn't feel is living up to their deal or may not be able due to injury. I think this well worth the risk as the Lakers still have two All NBA talents, found solid bench guys after a struggle this year, and just need talent after the Westbrook and Caruso fiascos
