Frank was tuned out back in November the Lakers were too cheap to hire a new coach and pay him out to get outta here

Good luck to him, he will always be a Championship winning coach as a Laker. Very few get to achieve that accomplishment.

Quin Snyder and Nick Nurse have tremendous creativity but man the pressure of playing in LA alongside with managing the massive egos here is a challenge that's too big for them. If our players would humble themselves and listen I think Snyder would be a great fit, have a feeling they're gonna go with Lebron's boy Juwan Howard. Pelinka said a strong voice was needed and he may lean in that direction of bringing in a large personality.

The bright lights and big stage of Hollywood isn't for the faint of heart. Players or coaching staff. It will be interesting to see who actually interviews for the job. Strong voice, large personality? Isiah Thomas? LOL..I bet Zeke isn't afraid of Lebron or Westbrook.

He deserved better. He'll get that elsewhere as soon as he wants to. Thanks for the ring and being the best we've had since Phil.

Time to get moved to NBA Discussion where we can bump it to say how much we miss him when we probably replace him with a worse coach.

We (Bron) offered Perk an assistant coaching job on Frank's staff?

I can see Juwan Howard too. Remember, he’s Rob’s old college teammate at Michigan. Haven’t been overly impressed with his X and O’s in Ann Arbor.

I refuse to believe Perk's story. Even if it's true. I still refuse.

Yeah Cuban had to do something about the salary though, they were well over the cap and in repeater tax territory. They traded Tyson Chandler and cleared space, he was big for them, they let Caron Butler walk, another great player, shooting 43% on 3s that season, 15 pts. Brought in some older guys, Lamar Odom, Vince Carter. They trimmed about 8 million in cap which with the repeater tax at the time was much more in tax. Much lower cap back then and Cuban's partners have been known to be very b****y about his spending. Probably could have kept it together though if he would have spent.

Yup, that's the usual thing in any business, get hired, have 3 strong years then get fired.
3 strong years? Come on the last 2 were anything but strong and this season was disastrous. At least take some responsibility for the horrible roster-building Rob.

I can believe Perk. And although I’m not a big fan of his commentary I have always heard that he is respected by players around the league. I could see his story being true.

Damn. F LeBron. I wouldn't return his calls this offseason if I'm the FO.
We are much bigger than LeBron. Kareem, Magic, Shaq or Kobe never had this power and that's why we were successful. Of course you listen to your stars and try to put him in the most comfortable position, but that doesn't that they just pick and choose every personnel decision. You're still part of a larger organization that is paying your salary

Shaq has some choice words about the sh***y way the Lakers FO handled Frank's firing including this excerpt below. In spite of us being told here as per usual MO that maybe it really wasn't what we saw with our own eyes.

    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/shaquille-o-neal-blasts-lakers-235747521.html

“Yeah, he was done dirty ’cause that’s how I heard I was getting traded,’ said O’Neal before explaining how he felt disrespected by the Lakers during his playing days.“O’Neal later went on to implore other coaches to not ‘waste your time’ with the Lakers. The legendary big man also said that if he were Vogel, he would’ve quit before officially getting fired by the franchise.”

Shaq handled himself here in a s***ty way too at the end, the constant calling out of Dr. Buss, on the court, about his contract situation was childish and unprofessional. Maybe Rob didn't really give AF about how it looked? I don't what the background story is, on what was going on between he and Frank. It definitely seems to me that he wasn't concerned at all about how it would be perceived. At least it took Doc Rivers out of the running...allegedly.
