Frank moves in mysterious ways with his rotations. Folks will try to cover for him, by claiming that he " doesn't have his type of players". Yet he continues to make curious decisions on matchups, when he has other tools at his disposal on the bench. Ultimately, if he has a healthy Lebron and AD, nobody makes a big deal out of it, because those two will cover it up. Most of the time, he seems to coach like he's just experimenting with different players, so that when he gets the big two back, he has an idea of who should be playing with them. At this point, I guess he feels like 10th isn't much different than 7th, as long as James and Davis are ready to go. It wouldn't matter anyway if that's not the case. If he was getting fired before the offseason, it would have happened months ago.
Speaking of Vogel’s infatuation with Bradley… I saw this on Twitter last night and now am compelled to subject you all to it as well. I’m sorry…
The internet is wild. On another note, I had forgotten about this, now I fear the next coach search, this level of nepotism is scary
this was why i defended vogel all year. not because i think he's great, but because we're almost certainly going to do worse.
Concerns about our hiring practices (or lack thereof) are valid. I can easily see us blowing another coaching search. I just don’t see how they can bring Vogel back now. Feels inevitable that he’ll be replaced
the thing about this one is that Vogel and his staff are the only people that would be able to get new gigs IMO.
Can anyone explain why wouldn't run Monk/Reaves/Johnson at least 25 minutes a game together. Everytime I've seen all 3 together the Lakers look like a real playoff caliber team but we just refuse to play this lineup.
Vogel will be the scapegoat for this season’s failure (rightfully and/or wrongfully) But the search for the next head coach will be indicative of the bigger problems in the front office
https://bleacherreport.com/articles...-on-the-hot-seat-entering-seasons-final-month Some coaches who could possibly be available this summer. IF Snyder does hit the market, we have to bring him back. That's far and away the best possible option I've seen. And he checks the box of being formerly employed by the Lakers.
no point in firing him now. no coach would have success with htis roster. let him finish out the season, if anything, as a show of respect for bringing home a title i'm scared to see who they hire to replace him though
i'd be happy with that pickup. i think he's at least equal to if not better than vogel, which is more than i expect for the next hire.
I don’t think the Jazz should fire Snyder, he’s a really good coach…. But if they were to do it, he needs to be on top of the coaching search list for the Lakers. On a side note…. How would ya’ll feel if Jeanie brought back Phil? i think at this point in his life he wouldn’t coach but it would not shock me if this is the next front office move, where Phil becomes the special advisor and either takes over Kurt Rambis role (does Rambis even get paid?) or is there to be a voice in the room.
I would like a coach who is strong enough and has enough support that he can bench LeBron when he plays like crap and the whole team will support him for it. like Riley supported his coach. Makes a world of difference
