    Remember this?
Anthony Davis: "We're a good team. No matter what happens in the regular season, get to the playoffs and we're a good team."
I called him delusional at that time... and i still stand by it.

just not his personality, folks. he had 17/7/6/5 blocks. lebron's the leader and the supposed basketball genius. it's on him to get AD the ball in position to score and/or demand AD attempt shots.

and AD can't be the leader until lebron's not here, for those that are going to suggest that. just not happening.

face it, folks: our stars have quit--lebron, too--DO NOT let the stats fool you, he shot 1 ft and turned it over 6 times against a g-league team.

I agree that our stars have checked out. LeBron scored well but didn’t even cross midcourt on 2 or 3 times I believe. AD shot 1-4 from the free throw line and was passing the ball around like it was a hot potato during the game. He could have gotten more shots earlier in the game but HE chose not to. Yes they weren’t touches in the paint but that didn’t stop guys like Stanley Johnson from getting to the rim. Just like Bron’s stats were inflated, so were AD’s. He’s not getting a pass from me. He’s in his prime and he’s riding a 37 year old instead of imposing his will.

why do i keep using the word "folks"?

anyway, i don't think he's riding lebron. i think the whole team to ride AD defensively this year, tbh.

AD's not a face up from the three point line and drive player. in fact, i challenge people to find the 6'11 240lb player that is. if we're not going to make concerted efforts to get him the ball in better spots, he's not going to be a big scorer.

the "trade everyone" crowd would be thoroughly displeased with that result were it to occur.

It's on the coach to direct the ball towards his star player too isn't it? If the coach has no say in the matter, what's the point of him being on the bench? If the stars have quit, they quit on the coach didn't they? Perhaps they want someone else because they have no respect for the one they have.

He was MIA first half; had a good 3rd. His 4th left s lot to be desired.

Wouldn't trade him, but it wasn't his best effort.

    Shrugs.

AD usually stands at 3pt line. whose fault is that? not sure you even watch the gm bit his ad line didn't reflect his impact on the game, which outside of a few jump shots in the 3rd, he was pretty much invisible, look at Nurkic stat line

    rob's. lebron's. AD's. vogel's. in that order.

don't care. i highly doubt they just dumped it to nurkic in isolation against AD and won this way.

probably feasted on our tiny lineups and slow feet on the perimeter causing breakdowns.

por did more dumping to nurkic then we did with ad but hard to dump it to ad when he was mostly floating around the perimeter as for AD blk total, most of it came from those gleaguers trying to do to much in the 4th, por outscored us in paint by 20pts at one pt in the 4th

Nurk took AD’s lunch money last night. He out physical-led him all the way.

Our stars are phoning it in now. Season is over. You can’t lose to Nurk and the YMCA pickup squad when battling just to make the playoffs. That means you aren’t even trying.

Well AD is a power forward not a center. Dwight comes in handy sometimes when he's not in Vogel's dog house.

yeah, i'm sure any reasonably coordinated 280lb center could outdo AD in the paint. it's why we employ big guys like howard, as slick said.

but our shadow gms wanted AD starting at center.

Again repeating how blowing up a winning recipe was just so stupid. The way the bubble season worked is McGale and especially Howard would take grunt work but then you would bring out AD at the 5 as needed (4th quarter/playoff) to finish the team off. A non-fatigued/energized AD caused havoc similar to what we just Giannis due to Lakers. You can do that when you go against a team that is scrambling on defense, tired, and has to play you 1v1.

right, and against ultra small teams like houston, you play AD at center almost exclusively.

we had the formula. it won. it would win again, now.

Nurk is a FA? Wonder if the lakers have a shot at him. WOuld definitely help the rebounding/intensity of this team

i was going to propose a fake THT/nurk trade when portland was having its firesale, but it was reported that both sides were interested in working out an extension this summer.

of course, he'd never survive the world's hardest fan base because he misses too much time. just so soft. not hard at all.
