8 wins in just 50 games. that's 12 or 13 across 80. and the twitter coaches don't care about roster turnover or injuries (i should have clarified: roster issues and injury issues). i'm expecting fireworks.
Yeah I think Vogel could do better but I worry about who Rambis wants to replace him with. I don’t trust the FO in that department very much.
the fact that vogel's been far and away our best coach since phil should make everyone very concerned about vogel's successor.
He can walk out the door with Westbrook for all I care. What the hell was that Russ, Bradley, Reaves, Ariza, DJ lineup? Good god. And then this nonsense? Monk is so much better than AB
You keep bringing up Monk’s 2-10 game, Bradley had two 2-10 and one 2-9 game just in January. He’s hardly this consistent shooter you are describing. Edit: I just noticed this is the Vogel thread. I have supported Vogel and still don’t think there is a coach out there right now that would do better with the group we have but he really has been frustrating with some of his lineups and the minutes they play.
Why does he INSIST on having Bradley in there? Unbelievable!! Bradley's 13 minutes were so damn appropriate the other night...ugh Vogel just digs his own grave sometimes... Agreed with everyone on that lineup where he had Bradley AND DJ in there with Westbrook...AWFUL.
vogel's lineups have been horrid but he was never going to have any success with a roster that is completely devoid of defensive talent
We just set this team up to fail. Vogel didn’t have a clue what to do with two dominant ball handlers in Lebron and Russ from the beginning. We should of brought in MDA as an assistant instead of Fizdale and paired his offensive ideas with Vogel’s defensive concepts.
Frank is a dead man walking, looking at this schedule for the next 8 games. It will take a minor miracle for him to survive. We might lose to Portland. Naw..we'll win this one, probably the New Orleans game.
What’s the difference at this point unless the Lakers want to do a trial run with an assistant. Either way he’s gone this summer.
Staff personnel or player roster? Or both? It’s just so clear, if you want a coach to succeed you have to empower him with his own staff and his own player choices. Then his success or lack of is on him. We have this weird situation where Vogel didn’t get a fair shake, but he couldn’t adjust with what he was given at all. So the blame is evenly distributed between our stars, the front office and Vogel.
