You’re right but it’s better than getting blown out by 20 when your stars are all playing. I agree we need to start winning though.

With all due respect, we needed to start winning awhile back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we won a preseason game. That winning or losing mentality creates a culture. Losing is never okay, but the attitude was "it's just preseason." And here we are after 50 games and a sub .500 record. So much blame to go around. Day to Day Davis can't look at a basketball without breaking something. Vogel forgot how to coach. Westbrook forgot how to play. Ugh. I hate this season.

Rob conveniently leaked….what? It was WIDELY reported this summer that we had a deal for Hield ready to go. Also Bron, AD and Russ have all talked about their summer meetings. It’s basic cap math that we couldn’t have both, so I don’t think anyone had to leak anything.

We're missing the bigger picture here in that Lebron and AD realized the Westbrook trade allows Lebron, AD, RW & Melo to have some epic 10k-a-bottle wine-drinking sessions. I mean, could you imagine Buddy Hield drinking wine with those guys? Please. He probably drinks $20 a bottle wine. They wouldn't even let him on the back end of the banana boat.

    Am I missing something?

If it wasn't for Russ we wouldn't have come back during the Heat and the Hornets game and we definitely dont win the Brooklyn and Orlando games

I get that we lost but we were down 20 large in the 3rd both times and hes lead the comeback.

Maybe he doesn't need to be the No.1 guy but he needs to be given more freedom, more opportunities and more plays run for him. He has improved on his shortcomings lately...53% and 3.6 TOs a game in this roadtrip.

He's played with non shooting Centers like Perkins and Sam Adams before so I don't worry if Dwight needs to be out there with him

Let’s just have AD and LeBron come off the bench. Westbrook will lead us all the way!

i don't know. furious comebacks are cute, but less fun than just winning games. i'm still waiting to witness how russ works with AD and lebron to the effect of winning games. watching russ and a bunch of no-names win 40% of their games is for the sacramento kings. if we have to subvert everything about the team for a 33 year old who can't lead a team to a winning record, we're doing it wrong.

He's played every game this year. All 50 of them. He has shown improvement recently in the middle of this roadtrip. They need to run more plays for him and give him more freedom. LBJ/Lakers actually brought the guy in to help out our stars so how about actually using him properly?

I think the pecking order should be

    1) AD
    2 A LBJ
    2 B Russ

This team at not rolled over and has gone down swinging largely due to Russ' improved play recently. Encourage him and ride his play

    Why I dislike Russ:
What was his defensive stance on Trey at the pivotal point in the game?
Five feet back from him, with his hands by his sides- completely forgetting that Trey’s range from three is pretty much anywhere near the logo.

Don’t know if it changed in NY under Thibbs (I would imagine) but that used to be Julius’s stance too on D with hands down (I guess cause they’re heavy?). Just stare intently and Jedi mind trick them into missing the open shots you’re handing out. Problem is Russ and “Jedi mind” is an oxymoron and that kind of D didn’t cause misses from the opposing shooters for Randle either.
