Russell Westbrick Discussion: Clipper Gonna Clip

I'm ride or die regardless. I might be more realistic about the situation than some. Until James or Davis is declared out for the season, I'm still all in.

 

Awesome player: after you get down in the hole, switch off cutters, turn the ball over, then you turn it on to bring your team errr sort of back.

 

Didn't see him tonight.

 

He padded his stats at the end. Didn’t do much overall.

 

He took 4 shots in the fourth quarter and 15 overall. I mean its not like he stayed in to get a ton of shots up against the deep bench… he basically just took 4 shots a quarter and I’m happy with that as the third option.

Watch the tape on all our missed threes, Russ set up about 10 quality looks that just didn’t go down. On another day we win this game and Russ has 12+ assists.

6-29 from 3 , with Russ hitting the highest percentage at 2-3. Nope 20% is not going to get it done. Especially if Lebron isn't playing.

 

Russ was brought here to be a star n help them win not be praised cause he wsnt "that bad"....you got low standards, yea we shouldn't be top 4 w/o ad/bron but we sure as hell shouldnt be 8th place with russ/ad or russ/bron looking like a gleague team at times

 

We haven't finished anywhere just yet, the season isn't over. My standards aren't low for the two superstars of this team at all. Their a**** need to be out there on the damn court!!! How in the hell can Westbrook help them win when they are not playing? He's shown up for work for every game this season, if they had done the same, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

 

He wasn't the problem. He's not the guy who can flip the switch and get 30 if Bron sits, but he can get high teens-low 20s and set the table. But he can't make those shots go in for the rest of the roster. Lead a horse to water...

Half our roster is filled with non NBA players and that's a problem.

 

No Basketball (not only the NBA) player has hit the side or top of the backboard more than WB.

 

you shouldn't have to require both ad/bron in addition to russ to not lose to teams like okc, pacers. etc. my low standard comment was for Russ....1st it was Russ was brought here so we can win gms when ad or bron sat or was out, now its "he wasnt that bad"...is that something we should be saying for a 44M player who was a multi time all star n an mvp?

I knew he was going to settle for a bad shot at the end of the game, feeling himself after the previous 3’s he made.

Can’t quite be too upset with that though, we wouldn’t be in that position without him.

We win that game if not for that bs blocking call. We had the momentum and Russ was feeling it. Well deserved props.

 

Great second half. Didn't bother watching the game until I saw we were within striking distance with 8 min left.

I'm fine with the game winning attempt because he was in the zone and without his prior two 3s, we're not in this.
