I don't think so. Last time they mentioned he wanted to play, he wanted to start. Rockets said no, so he's still sitting out.

I don't do the deal. Don't want to lose an asset and it's a matter of the devil you know...

Meh pass on trading for Wall. Unfortunately the Lakers made their bed and now have to lie in it with regards to Westbrook. There is no quick fix to this.

    You have two options here;

Try to get more out of Westbrook by catering to his game. He isn’t more than half a year removed from averaging 25/15/15 to end the year in Washington.

Or alternatively you marginalise him into a role player. And look to maximise your defence.

Our ceiling is higher with the first Westbrook and our floor is higher by marginalising him.

I’m on the fence about a straight up Wall for Westbrook trade. No way do I include a future first. Even then I’m dubious. Bringing in a guy who hasn’t played in a long time is extremely risky. Riskier to me than seeing what we have when AD comes back. I feel like we should stick with Russ and see if we can’t integrate him better and also emphasize to him that he needs to step it up on D.

Wall is a complete unknown right?

with Russ, we at least know what we have

we’d basically have to think nothing might be better than having Russ?

do we really think he’s a total negative? Addition by subtraction?

I just wouldn’t trade for Wall. Nothing about it appeals to me.

I would never include a first for Wall. F that... If Westbrook can adapt to a lesser roll than I'd rather just keep him. If he continues to pout and develop into a cancer I'd deal him for Wall straight up or send him home like the Rockets have done to Wall.

Oh boy. Just realized Wall is a Klutch client.

Wall...what's the point? The only thing we can do at this point is pray Nunn comes back at close to full strength soon and AD is good for the rest of the season. If that happens, We can just run an 8 man rotation of AD/Lebron/Reaves/Melo/Monk/Nunn/Westbrook/THT. Don't play anyone else unless there is foul trouble.

Good, balanced game. Didn't really force anything. Let the game come to him. Only shot 1 three. After the Indy game, the benching, and the media coverage it was anyone's guess what kind of game he was going to have. I like how he responded. If we could get this Russ on cruise control, he'd be playing the part. And I guess that's the most unnerving part. Is that he is capable of this every night. Maybe he should talk to Phil and meditate in the locker room before the game or something.

    Solid game for him.
Best case scenario for us is he finds ways to contribute to the team.

He might need to retire this shot though

Really good game, trade him while his value is at its peak.

Yeah it was a nice game from Russ, but I remember when he pulled it out after slightly fumbling the dribble on the break…we all knew the bank shot was coming
