While everyone is climaxing about how great the Warriors are a out to be again. Warriors are a facade. The cracks are starting to show.

The Suns are the only team that has been consistent all year with deep playoff experience.

Bulls are young, Heat have a shot. The Nets will be the IT TEAM if the league let's Kyrie play.

I worry more about AD's lack of enthusiasm than I do his injuries. I want to see at least some drive and desire when he returns.

no; it just makes you really bad at player evaluation?

even if thompson comes back in peak form, he's three years older than AD and his injuries were more severe and of the non-contact variety.

i just brought it up because i can't imagine how much s*** AD would be getting on this forum if he had just missed two full years.

i don't think they're a facade, but they vastly outperformed the sum of their parts for the first half of the season. but for the second half, they got a pretty major part back. my guess is that despite his obvious value, it still takes time to re-integrate.

i agree that the nets, if healthy, likely blow the doors off of everyone this year, including the theoretical peak of our team. it's sort of not fair that they got three allstars in their prime including a perennial mvp candidate. they're basically the 2012 heat right now.

i think he showed inconsistent effort on d this year, which was disappointing but really just emblematic of how the whole team thought adding a third big name meant you can just play hard sometimes.

My concern for AD goes back to last season. To me he just seems to lack the drive. Been wrong before though. RW is a good case of that.

What I noticed and I attributed it to the weight gain(probably disinterest, or both) the lack of quickness to challenge at the rim. That was automatic pre 2020, now it’s just not there.

Dudz, Leave Dallas and come back.

    Bring Luka with you.

Curious to see if AD finds a better balance or one that his body can handle.

At least AD has identified the problem with the unnecessary weight gain unlike a poster here ( who we will hide under the name @LTLakerFan) who thinks AD is ripped even though he can barely move like a bear ready for hibernation

Glad to hear he’s shedding weight; he can play 15mpg at c even at his previous weight, and bulking up did nothing for him.

I guess for your benefit the “(of ripped muscle which gave Vogel a ‘stiffy’)” needed the Metta gif with the wad in the side of his face to let you know it was tongue in cheek?

i thought about that, too, but tbh: i think we're largely stuck with this team, maybe into next year. AD needs to get on the floor and help us try to come up with some sort of plan to salvage this. people fuss about lebron's twilight, but we're about to waste the latter part of AD's prime with this junk.

    Yeah, I guess.

I would like to see a lot more of: THT, Reaves, Monk, and whatever youth we have.

Including some of our two way guys.

But knowing this team, I'll see a lot more of Westbrick and the older vets.

AD and his lackadaisical play when he was healthy helped get us where we are. Hopefully he comes back with a different mindset. Not expecting that however.

eh, he was marginalized within our offense due to russ's arrival and was basically asked to cover for three teammates on every defensive possession. i think he knew it wasn't working and couldn't invest. i also just don't think AD plays with the outward expressions that fans want. you don't get as good as he's been by not caring about winning or not playing hard.

my only concern with AD is injuries. we need to commit to building a team that maximizes his strengths rather than relies on him to cover everyone else's weaknesses.

I think AD is officially past his prime. We won the championship, he took the money, and now we get to see what an unmotivated star that doesn’t love the game looks like for a few more years. Good times.

As good as he was. He hasn't shown that for awhile. I'm hoping though.
