I’m referring to the missed shots lowlights, Zo as a rook airballed lay ups

the early offense long twos just make no sense and are as bad as turnovers. What’s he shooting on those bank attempts? 5%?

I wish it was Kyrie. He'd be lobbying for HoF inclusion and collecting retirement payments by now.

those bank shots are worse than mine

super confusing for an uber athlete of Westbrook's ilk

I can't even defend it, but I suppose it makes the sweet times that much sweeter.

Ontop of being an oddity and just taking bad shots sometimes, he's exhausted. I was never a huge fan of his but he's not this bad and it's sad to watch.

To be fair... this coaching staff keeps a tiny line-up out there and they're being punished routinely.... don't think that's helping him in any capacity from mentally/physically. He's logging a crazy amount of minutes running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Prior to this season, the most I've watched of Russ was the 2012 Finals. I wish that were still the case.

As most of us suspected, the Russell Westbrook experience is not going well. I honestly see no way we’re title contenders this year with him as our starting PG. I hope I’m wrong.

I think he's trying to find the balance of how to play under control and aggressive. Since the 9 TO game (0 last night, 3 over the past 3 games) he's lost a little of the bite as a scorer. I think he'll adjust. Even if he played great last night, we still lose. The D was trash and the rest of the team wasn't hitting anything.

Wait until the first boo birds start chirping on the air balls and brain farts and it’s picked up and gets loud in the Crypt …. Kwame Brown style. Am surprised MWP hasn’t reached out to him with his therapist’s phone number. (of course no way to know he hasn’t). :(

This. We saw what declining Russ looks like in the bubble a year and a half ago and it will only get worse, which is why I was against the trade from the beginning.

What I don't understand is why he never adjusted his game. We've seen plenty of players adapt to declining athleticism due to age or injury. Lebron is doing it now. Kobe did it, Jordan, Derrick Rose, Vince Carter, Ron Harper, Shawn Livingston among a few others due to age or injury were able to adapt. Not Westbrook, his low IQ plus declining athleticism and lack of skill is only going to get worse over time unless he adapts.

I can no longer defend Russell Westbrook, which is one thing I do not have in common with the Memphis Grizzlies who held him to 2 for 12 last night.

We have him and we just have to do our best to work. I was puzzled by the decision to trade for him and saw the red flags and decline most people had seen. I did hope against logic he could have somehow made this work.

I remember every time he had an injury he bounced back with athleticism, but things have a limit and he has lost that elite athleticism. What he has not lost is that iron will (stubbornness) and in light of the facts he is DELUSIONAL, which is never a good way to integrate into doing what the team needs. He just triple doubles down to doing the same things.

Strangely I don't hate him. It is just a crying shame.

Guys like Jason Kidd and even Rondo concentrated on building up a reliable 3 pt set shot (basically stopped trying to shoot off the dribble or pullups) and focused on being able to hit catch and shoots and were reliable playmakers who limited turnovers and played hard on defense.

Russ is capable of doing this IMO but man he still believes he's the same player so he's playing like he's a superstar and jacking up bad shots which is not what you want off a late career PG

Lakers might need to dump him by the deadline if he's unhappy with his role. He needs to run and gun with no expectations like in Washington.

Why hasn’t he ever developed a floater in the lane like every other PG in this League???

Why add to your game when you're getting all these triple-doubles? you're the man.
