the fact that compliments are coming out of the locker room about Vogel and the staff after our .500 start actually speaks volumes about him and his approach. Kudos to him that he has his players backing. When you have BBall IQ savants in the locker room like Lebron and Rondo, and maintain their respect with your open communication, you are doing something right.

he's not perfect, but he may be perfect for what we need

except last year, but that had some extenuating circumstances that can't be overlooked if I'm being fair

I just don’t get it. Naz Reid of all the no namers in the NBA is abusing our small ball lineup in the first and Frank makes zero adjustments. He continues throughout the second, and Frank makes no adjustments.
Surely by halftime, he’ll figure it out.
    NOPE!!!!
I guess Frank is part of the non-existent Naz Reid fan club and wants to see his career night in person!
    What tha heck?!?!
With KAT and Icewater Boy out, this should have been over by halftime.
    ‍SMH!!!!

This is such horse****. I mean you barely beat the TWolves without KAT Russell and you think the decision making is solid?

It's one thing to get used to playing with Lebron at Center but who in their right minds thinks Melo or Stanley Johnson at C would work like at all in the playoffs?
And it's not just the glass, it the lack of a strong screener, lob threat, and a rim protector.

And what ever happened to following “Let Success Be Your Guide?”
He certainly has never had an issue with using 1,000 different lineups.
Why stick with something when it’s clearly not working????

it takes a lot of discipline to stick with something that clearly looks like it's not working, all while having a sub .500 record, and force your star laden roster to "find a way"

This is either absurd or Phil Jacksonesque.

Yes, I'm also leaning toward the absurd explanation

The small ball lineups without Bron are tough. Melo, Stan, and Ariza can be the 4 but cannot be the 5 in those lineups if the opposition has anything close to a center on their roster.

    Dear Coach,

I don’t like your rotations and feel like you don’t maximize your roster.

    Sincerely,

I’m not convinced I need to convince you. Just know I’m pretty much right all the time. Except about Dragan. But to be fair, if he was put in the right situation, he could’ve been an all-time great.

wrong. i said lue wasn't an appreciably better coach than vogel. burden is on the vogel haters/lue lovers, not me.

also go check the receipts: i wanted monty williams.

but vogel was quite successful in indiana, less so in orlando (nobody has been successful there except svg, though, to be fair), and has been successful here.

he's had almost 10 years as a head coach and only two losing seasons (orlando). without those two seasons (in which orlando was actively tanking half the time), he's got a .600 winning percentage.

he lost to the apex heatles in the conference finals twice, and won an nba title here two years ago.

but yeah, he's garbage and the reason this injured and flawed roster isn't mowing down the league.

you try winning with westbrook as the only star who hasn't missed a third of the season.

the offense was at the bottom last yr in terms of efficiency 2 yrs running, consistently odd lineups, running small ball when he clearly doesnt grasp the concept, as for Orl Clifford took that similar Orl roster to a playoff after Vogel tenure. I didnt says he garbage but he should gets as much cred for the chip as much as Lou, neither are exceptional coaches but I could argue considering lac is w/o Leonard and now without Pg and we have nearly identical records that should speak volume Vogel coaching abilities vs Lou

Unless we find out after the season that Vogel put this team together, spoiler alert: he didn't, then he's not to blame for this team's issues.

Let me break that down... our most used starting lineup features a guy who's ink is still drying on his 2nd 10 day contract.

That's a trump card over any s*** any other aspiring contender has gone through.

Clippers haven't dealt with that. AD and Bron have missed a significant number of games, as well. Everyone minus Russ and DJ has missed a game with an injury or covid.

And let's not even get into the lack of cohesion because Bron, AD, and Rob reset the roster 2x in the past two years.

if Vogel doesnt have control over team makeup, why even be the coach? clippers have been w/o Leonard all season n recently pg too n theyve been more competitive than this team, even against the better teams that this team gets spanked by
