Well he’s talking about 20M between 2 players when actually it would be 9M additional. DJ already getting his 11M either way. Jeanie gets a mulligan to go “all in” for a needed player. Let’s see what they do.
With the Rondo trade it looks like we can keep Stan the Man. When Stan, Trevor, THT, AB and Austin all get healthy we can actually put together a decent defense. I'm still predicting a championship. We need at least two of those guys on the court during all meaningful minutes. Might even inspire AD to put out a little effort when he comes back.
In one game or a handful of games doesn't tell much. In a full season, I think it does Caruso had the best +/- alongside Lebron. And we know why
Is it an option for us to sign Johnson to a non-guaranteed deal? He’s looked decent, but he hasn’t blown me away the way it seems he has for some of you. I’m all for replacing Rondo with him and I can see him ending up being a very valuable contributor for us all year… But what we’ve seen has been a small sample size in which he’s been fighting for a job. Surely there must be a reason nobody else has signed him. I guess I would just hate if we end up signing Johnson to a guaranteed deal, later a better 3&D wing shakes free on the buyout market, but we’re back to the same position where we can’t really open up a roster spot due to the luxury tax implications of waiving a guaranteed contract.
We just need him to play stellar defense, anything on offense is a plus. If he can take out the opposing player best perimeter player, meaning make him work and earn his points and not get others involved without a double it's a win. We remember how a Dennis Rodman added dimension to a defense would change the whole identity of a team. It looks to see that the Lakers are playing better defense lately, not saying it's elite, but it's improved with more deflections and hand usage to defend the ball.
Yes, please. Having him and Ariza makes this team a lot more versatile. Of course, we don't have AD right now, but when he comes back, we might be able to really get some wins. Hopefully it won't be too late.
Dayam!! Yes! And Stanley looks to have some good looking skills to build on already in those same drills … he’s doing them well!
