their ace in the hole is that ballmer has super deep pockets and is fully invested in winning--enough that he seems to even keep his nose out of the day-to-day (so he's not cuban). still think he needed to move them out of la and do a full rebrand. it was strange reading that interview earlier in the year where he talked about getting that advice and rejecting it.
here's my random nba tidbit: chris paul has played in every game this season, and curry's played in all but two. if you're wondering why some teams look great, that's a big part of it. continuity and the 1a star being always available.
really surprised to see ty lue not scheme his way out of a home drubbing to the spurs. will he be fired soon?
What Deron Williams is up to these days ..... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nba-world-celebrates-former-nets-202429409.html
In other KD being a jerk news .... now he has picked on an 8th grader using his vast reach with social media. What a schmuck. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/eighth-grader-buried-criticism-kevin-160413701.html
man, who hurt this dude? so many other ways to react to that video, and then when he's called on it, he just digs in further. durant had a chance to be a hero and chose to be a villain. shame, because he can play, but it's hard to root for him.
i also don't know if it's encouraging or discouraging that a dude with access to anything he wants in life spends so much time farting around on social media.
You can vote for the All Star now Jokic, Gobert, Green CP3, Curry DeRozan, LaVine Durant, Giannis, Embiid
warriors trotting out literal g-leaguers with curry and green and still manage to beat the suns meanwhile this team can't beat anyone with AD, bron, and westbrook
GSW have a legit system and gets players to fit into it. Kerr maximizes everyones ability. While we…. Well yeah
keep in mind that the warriors got two years to shuffle young guys in and out until they found ones that fit their system. they've also added two or three lotto picks because they missed the playoffs in that span. so while i totally agree that they have a great coach, system, and general organizational climate, they also...missed the playoffs the last two years and have the league's highest payroll by a longshot. i wish we would have considered young guys instead of old guys as vet mins this past summer, though. then again, it was otto porter that sealed the game for them last night! but it's toscano anderson and jordan poole and such that help them carry the load most nights. funny thing is: one could argue that we're even more successful polishing up underscouted players than they are. we just...like to let them walk.
You don't wish covid on anyone, but I am glad that the Suns are finally having some adversity. Seems they've dodged covid and injuries so far this year.
speaking of: is the national press just going to ignore memphis? their coach should have been coy last year, and he should be again this year. that team has no business making the playoffs, much less finishing in the top 4. morant is good and fun, but not THAT good. and they've won just as much when he's been out. it's pretty crazy, imo.
meaning, point taken it's going to take a Tim Duncan type to want to stay in Memphis long term, but it's great to see a small market team be competitive.
