Another nonsense post and bad past take of yours. There seems (to me) an honest correlation to these coming from you when we’re most frustrated after bad losses or injuries or whatever. But bleep ANY of the asterisk talk on the Lakers’ title that they and every other team had to compete for the same way in the “Bubble” season.

it's one thing when fans of other teams call the lakers 2020 title "fake" or whatever because we all know they'd be celebrating it if their team had won

but when lakers fans call their own team's title fake? gotta just lol

Yep piling on is fun even when it’s our own players not to mention one who in being here was a huge contributing reason we won a championship one calendar year ago.

my theory is that he and lebron got jealous of the three star teams and just went after whichever one they could get, thinking that talent would overcome. lebron must have forgotten that his heat team had three stars in their prime and still only managed 2 rings in 4 years, that one of those team's was a blockout away from not winning, and that he was a much, much better player 10 years ago.

as for the "fake bubble title" stuff, i'm curious. i often hear the regular season doesn't matter, only playoffs. wasn't the bubble--in which everyone got to rest up and play a tournament for the title--actually the purest title ever?

or is the nba title partly an endurance test? if so, i'd like people to stop talking about the regular season not mattering.

of course, the lakers were the best team in their conference in the regular season, too.

just seems like an inconsistent/incoherent argument.

he got injured in minn gm but still looked like that gm prior and many other gms this season, are you excusing all of his decline from playing C? and does it even seem to matter what position he plays, on offense he still a jump shooter that stands at 3pt line n mid range most of the time

Yeah I mean I watch Lebron in some of these games and I can understand why he wanted a high usage PG. He really struggles against big wings now, and he'll be seeing a lot of that attention over the next 6 weeks.

it's why you don't let players manage, imo. we could have found guys to handle the ball and direct the offense without gutting the roster. the only three-star team in the league is the nets, and they were likely to beat us with or without russ if they were 100% healthy. just feel like we took the wrong path last summer.

Yep. If the move makes you a favorite, do it. If not, retain your assets and see how it plays out... knowing you have options later.

right, my main point last summer was that we had flexibility and could carry that over. the stars were impatient. i get it from their angle, and i get why management wants to appease them. i just hope our management learned a lesson about limits going forward.

The man has avg the 4th most mpg of his career this season, playing mostly 5.

He avg 23 pts 10 rebs 3 assists and 2 blks. He is shooting at the third highest field goal percentage of his entire career this season. This is including his terrible three point shooting! Ok...he avg 2 3 attempts a game, that's not exactly bombing away from the three point line.

It has already been pointed out by others that AD has one of the highest post up usage rates in the league this season. I just don't understand why you think he has declined all this great amount. He also has had to adjust to 12 new teammates, half a season without Lebron, and playing out of his preferred position. I think you are reaching on the AD on the decline stuff.

What flexibility did we have? We were going to be over the cap anyway just by resigning our own free agents. We weren't going to be a player in free agency at all anyway.

Lol..you just asked if I was attributing all his "decline " from just playing center. He shoots 2 attempts from 3 a game...big deal. The fact remains that AD has avg more mpg, pts, reb and blk per game than last season, and he's shooting at a higher percentage from the field over last season too. What do you want?

18% from 3s is still 18% its supposedly part of his growth regardless of volume, i guess all that banging affecting his ft shooting abilities too?

So what? Those two attempts per game isn't affecting the bottom line in any way. So your whole point is his 3 point shooting is bogging the team down? Seriously? Two attempts?
