    Giannis. Curry. Luka. Jokic.

I can tell you as many times as you need.

man, you've really nailed it. the four most untradeable players in the league have (slightly) fewer bad games than AD. we should definitely trade AD for luka or giannis. i'm not sure why we hadn't thought of it.

kobe sucked. michael jordan had one more ring and zero finals losses. see how bad kobe bryant sucked at basketball.

not to mention that the games that everyone's like: "WHY DON'T YOU DO THIS EVERY NIGHT?!" are his 34/15/6 nights in wins (e.g., SA). check the game logs: nobody goes for 34/15/6 regularly. giannis and jokic do 25/13/5 regularly. they're the last two mvps.

excluding the game he left early, AD has scored fewer than 20 points three times this year and never less than 15 (compare it to your heroes, it's quite similar). he's had two games with fewer than 8 rebounds. we're just not winning, so folks are angry. the hate is completely irrational, though. if AD played for anyone else, they'd be talking about how he's great and the rest of the team needs to improve, tbh.

and i agree that he hasn't brought energy every night, and it's pissed me off. but the discourse surrounding him on this site is ridiculous.

So you're agreeing that AD is behind those 4? Finally we're getting somewhere.

Your rationale is good if we were talking about a Tobias Harris, Jaylen Brown or McCollum. You only make comparisons downwards (like only having X games below 20 and never scoring less than 15!!) which doesn't make sense.

AD is a superstar, you have to look up. He needs to score 30 multiple times. Needs to be DPOY. Needs to have +50%FG. Needs to be in the MVP conversation. Needs to be the player everyone expected him to be.

    But he isn't.

He is not Gasol. He didn't came here to be Gasol.
He will ALWAYS end up with +20pts and +8rebs, that's a given for him. But that's far from enough, that's a low standard. Specially when LeBron is missing games. He has to get 35 or 40 when Lebron's not there. He rarely does it. We're just asking for him to be one of the top 5 players in the game, consistently.

I don't see why you can't agree with this, it's pretty blatant. Our title aspirations and future depends on it. I hope he gets teased with this and starts playing like we expect soon

all those teams are built specifically to maximize their star. ours most certainly isn't. the point is that his worst games are the average games of guys who make near max money and everyone would be happy to have. those are his worst games.

you had to pick literally the consensus top 4 players in the game (add durant and lebron if you want) to make the comparison you want. i think that sort of makes the point.

If everyone else (excluding Dwight, AR15, and AB) gave as much effort on defense as AD does most nights, we would be the second best team in the West right now.

So, for you, AD compares with "guys who make near max money" and not the best in the league. Yikes

I think we are settled then

The anti Davis sentiment is just stupid. Do better, get us someone better. Good luck with that. If you AD haters continue, I pray you go to LakersGround, because they love listening to haters.

What we need to do is find the perfect team to build around Davis, but we are not trying to do that, we are trying to find the perfect team to fit around Lebron.

Personally, I think all these guys have injuries that they are working through. AD's biggest problem is health. Who knows how much that thumb injury is hurting his shot???? He plays though pain and I applaud his efforts. The fact that he does not do that at Kobe's level is not something I am willing to get down on him for.

He has started looking better recently, as has Westbrook. The thing is, AD can get decent numbers, even when his body is hurting. As he starts feeling better, (if??), his effect on the games will increase. They already are creeping up there.

Find someone better, how are we going to do that?? We are lucky to have AD but some of you can't realize that or find any joy in it. He is not our problem, the bench is our problem. They are not stepping up. Plus we are not playing as a team yet, too many guys jacking up balls, lousy defensive players and lousy offensive execution. Most of this stuff, I do not hold AD responsible for. More like the guards and the coaches and even Pelinka.

thanks, i was beginning to think i was the only one.

AD hasn't been full AD, but he's been close enough for us to be a better team than we have been. he hasn't appeared to give full effort each night, but he gives more than much of the roster, i'd argue. he hasn't complained about being misused or marginalized on offense (he is). there's maybe 6 guys in the league who better overall players right now--with him not playing at what we've seen at his best.

everyone's panicking about what might happen in two years or whatever. worry about it then. for 7 years, we would have killed to have a player of AD's caliber. i hope we don't end up back in that position because he wasn't playing as well as jokic.

Don’t shoot 3’s Dwight! Leave that to skilled shooters like AD.

I think he needs to practice his mid-range jumpers and three point shots. :) He's clearly behind in those.

No one else in the NBA could take another 3 all season and I still don't think he'd advance in that category.
