Talent and fit usually results in dynasties. Think Shaq and Kobe or GSW with KD. That’s why I don’t count lebrons Miami as a dynasty or for that matter the spurs either. And why we won’t be with Lebron, AD and Westbrook. Doesn’t mean we can’t win a ring though

in the half court, Russ should be in the dunker spot or a cutter to limit turnovers :Kobe Snickering:Let LBJ and THT handle the playmaking

KCP and AC were BIG contributors to the title run. Kuzma, not alot.

Will RW cover AC and KCP or exceed them in value will be the question at the end of the year.

Actually, Kuzma became a very good rebounder in the Bubble and improved his defense. He wasn’t a consistent scorer, but he contributed to winning basketball.

Honest question, would the team play better with Vogel gone? (Addition by subtraction). Hypothetically speaking lets say if they bump up Fizdale who has coached Lebron many years prior granted as an assistant. I think it could help a little bit. It does seem like Vogel's lack of creativity is hindering this team. I think Vogel cannot get out of his own way because you can tell he's desperate and trying to cling to his job and doubling down on his already ineffective strategies. With Vogel gone I think Russ would be the biggest benefactor and play with more freedom, he's caught between two minds right now.

What exactly is Fizdale going to change? I thought he was brought in to help out our stagnant offense? So far, I don’t see any improvement over last season when we went through scoring droughts.

I don't know to be honest but I think he's smart enough to not get in the way of the team playing freely. Right now Vogel is Mike Browining things on offense

I really don’t think any coach could do great under these circumstances. The big three still haven’t had enough time to gel, both Nunn and Ariza, who were supposed to be big rotation pieces have yet to play one minute, we just got THT back, and the entire team seems to have an attitude that they can give minimal effort most nights and still win. I’m with abeer on the whole continuity factor being a huge issue. If you remove Frank, then this factor just increases.

Just look at last night’s game. They were on their way to losing to a very bad Detroit team before the altercation. That fired them up, they started to actually care about winning, and it showed.

Discounting last year which was bereft of healthy stars and saw Vogel with the rug pulled out from under him come playoffs, Frank proved to be a very effective coach in the bubble, going 4-1, 4-1 & 4-1 (2 of which were first game losses followed by gentleman's sweeps showing excellent adjustment), before the 4-2 finals. Fizdale took a team to the playoffs once and lost in the first round. At least Vogel took the Pacers to the Conference Finals 3x and the first round 2x more. They had a ferocious defense. He had a positive win record before coming to the Lakers, Fizdales is a terrible 71-134. His experience with Lebron as an assistant is noted, but so is Frank's 2 1/2 seasons with Lebron here as a head coach. There was no way we had a chance vs a Phoenix team that was playing as well as they were with the injuries we had these last playoffs. I fail to see the comparison. It is way early for a Vogel witch hunt.

Honest answer. No. Fizdale’s already here. Frank’s not an authoritarian coach who’s going to ignore good input IF he has any.

Thanks for being one of the only Lakers trying tonight. Huge 3rd with his 18 points that Q, got us back in it and despite a couple miscommunications, was actually involved defensively.

great game from Russ - almost willed us back into winning this one. No complaints...he's starting to round into form and that's a great sign for us. Now it's up to Vogel to get the right guys around Russ/AD at all times and stop putting THREE non-shooters next to them (THT, Bradley and DJ)

I hate wasting those kind of games from players - it’s a lot of effort to go that hard and get a team back in the contest. We should of gotten over the hump and secured the win.
