Honestly I'm starting to think it's going to happen which I find so... disappointing.

I suggested this crew in the Wade/cHeat discussion a few weeks back....

Clarkson (845k) / Mo (5) or Rondo / Vet min
    Wade (14) / Ellington (BAE) / Brown (845k)
    Kobe (25) / Young (5.2) / Anderson (1)
    Randle (3.1) / Davis (5) / Kelly (1.7)
    Okafor (4.2) / Black (845k) / D. Johnson (1)

    Total - 67.7

With the news Davis is looking for 7-8 million a year other options for 5 million or less....

    Josh Smith
    Brandan Wright
    STAT
    Bismack
    Kosta (Unlikely)
    Chandler (Unlikely)
    Ajinca

It would be hard, but just get to the playoffs and it's on.

I am intrigued by the idea, but I honestly would be shocked it actually happened.

I don't see how we can have mutual interest. Wade wants to get paid. We are NOT going to pay him what he wants. Not at this stage of his career. I don't get it...

We can offer him a 3 year deal worth comparable money to what Miami wants to pay him. I would rather not but it's out there and I'm starting to think it has a good shot at happening.

I'd agree with this, and I'd rather pass. Although, I could be completely out of it. If Lakers strike out on free-agency, who's to say it couldn't happen?

Makes the East even easier for Lebron so of course it might happen

I'd rather have him than Love or Rondo, but that doesn't say a whole lot. There are worse ways to spend our money this summer. We can use another veteran to help guide the kids and another scoring threat. But there are also far better ways to build a team and that including guys like Carroll and Mo Williams and another backup big. Now if guys would be willing to take a paycut to play with those two, that's another story.

The main thing here is Kobe moving to the 3. That is the smart move.

I still think Butler is our main target.

Words cannot describe, but I'll try with names: Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade

Byron said something about potentially doing this or at least being on board with it months ago.

Both Kobe and Wade have trouble playing full 82 game seasons lately. I wouldn't be surprised if they split minutes like Mark Jackson and John Stockton did in Utah.

Heat fans are freaking out because they are convinced he's heading to Cleveland after Wade's dad appeared with a Cavs jersey.

So Cavs have to pay these players this summer that they said they want to bring back:

    1) Lebron
    2) Love
    3) Tristan

and on top of all that they are going to afford Wade after Wade said he doesn't want to really take another paycut.

    Cant see it

He's not going to going to Cleveland. He wants to get paid. If we were to seriously consider him, give him a 1+1 deal.

What? No disrespect to Kobe, because I still love the dude, but we don't need 2 old, overpaid stars who WILL get injured at some point. I get that Kobe got paid as a gesture of how we treat our stars, but if he takes 10 mil less we're in such a better position to make our team better, and now we want to add a guy very similar to him who will also be paid beyond what he can bring anymore, if only because he can't stay on the court? If Kobe could play 82 games at his $24 mil, I wouldn't complain (as much), but he can't, and neither can Wade. No thanks. I'd rather suck for a a couple more seasons and rebuild than have a Kobe situation part 2 when Kobe retires.

It's intriguing but I'd pass. We don't want to end up having our two most paid players being old and not capable of playing the full season. I'd give him a look of we strike out of the rest of the free agents.
