AD said he threw up after the 3rd quarter, incredible performance from him.

Don't love the 3 pointer at the end of the 4th, but don't hate it either. Bad execution in the half court (shocker) and Plumlee was waiting to double. I'm not making a case for AD as a volume 3 pt shooter, I'm just saying he hit that game winner over Jokic in the WCF. And in this game Bridges was on him, I'm ok with him taking it.

Monstrous game from AD. 32 points, over 50% shooting, 12 boards, 5 blocks, 3 steals. Insane line and performance. Yeah he shouldn’t have shot that three that he airballed at the end of regulation. But otherwise he was unstoppable.

The shot selection itself wasn’t THAT egregious. But you HAVE to wait another few seconds and then take it.

There is just no reason to give the opposition a chance to win the game when you have the ball in a tie game with no shot clock.

I'm not going to knock AD for that shot, I'm going to knock Frank for not having a better play drawn up, besides have AD stand out by the three point line, and then give him the ball as the shot clock runs down.

WTF is with this nonsense of always running it down only to take a highly contested bad shot every single time!?!? What are these coaches getting paid to do? Run a damn play for once!!!!!

AD gets some man cred back from me for coming up big, while playing sick. We need THIS type of leadership more often from you big man.

Vogel doesn't call many plays bedsides give it to Lebron or AD at about 6 seconds on the shot clock.

that 3 aside, couldn't ask for a better game from AD. that's a prime AD performance right there

just quit it with the 3s. please

i've said before that i think AD should end the three point experiment. and i agree that vogel has seemingly schemed for him to be taking them, which i don't understand. my guess is he's hoping AD snaps out of it and gets to be a 33%+ shooter from three again, and he's willing to drop some games waiting for that to happen. it's now been two full years since he's hit at that rate, but in fairness, he hit at that rate for three years in a row.

still think it should be corner threes or no threes for him, though.

We got 2 traditional centers because of the fit with Lebron or AD? We got Westbrook because of the fit with Lebron or AD?

if they were trying to build a roster that maximizes AD, they failed. but that's because they weren't really trying to do that. first and foremost, you'd have a pg who could shoot it and thus turned the pick and roll into a more viable weapon.

Lead by example, right? That was a very good game by AD last night. We needed all that to win that game which is kind of... scary.

I'm glad you brought that up, they have to work on this P&R action. AD needs to set better picks, he sets too many casual brush screens or simply cheats by showing pick, but bailing out back towards the basket without any contact. The P&R is an effective play in two ways. Either the guards come off the pick, with space for their jumper or the lob like Chris Paul does. Or they use the pick to get space to drive hard to the rim or lob, like Payne was killing us with all series. Both are effective, but you have to set a good pick to set either action up. I'd like to see Dwight used more in this way too, because he sets hard picks.

I think Vogel low key hates the pick and roll.

I assumed it was gonna be our bread n butter with lebron out between Russ and AD.
