I was also really annoyed watching him “guard” Crowder

AD's shot was off, I still say he looks rusty to me. After watching the game again, that was the biggest factor IMO. I'm a bit amused by folks that seem to think, that AD is some kind of great post up player. I'm not sure what games you were watching in New Orleans or since he's been a Laker. He is a face up, jump shooting big. He can roll and finish at the rim if you get him the ball, but his MO is looking for his jump shot. The dude only has one low post move, that little jump hook. Sure if you get him on a switch in the paint against a smaller player, he can power up and finish. However against decent size he struggles to finish with his back to the basket. That's who he is, always has been, even in the bubble. What we need to do is get him more easy lobs and such early to get him going. His jumper is going to come around eventually.

Yeah, you are right. I think what most of us want to see is him attacking in the paint- not settling for so many long jumpers. This doesn’t mean he needs to play with his back to the basket. Rather, he can start with his face up game, or a PnR and then attack with fire. He just hasn’t been constantly aggressive since the Bubble.

He wasn't physically right after the bubble last season. He should have sat out the first part of the season. I don't think he worked out basketball wise this offseason either, he was still recovering. As long as he has no injury issues, his touch and offensive game will return, we saw some signs of that against Golden State.

Yeah, if it’s working, why not run it more? Also, I haven’t seen a whole lot of AD and LeBron running it so far.

He does, but it may put him in the hot seat if things don’t turn around by game 20- as in, chemistry should be decent by then and everyone should be comfortable in their roles.

Good examples @LaVarBallsDad of what I think a lot of us would like to see more of, or less of the iso stuff. Thanks for posting them.

While he's not starting there, this is definitely progress and there's still a chance he shifts there in the starting 5 when everyone is back and healthy

Liked the activity on both sides after the first 6 minutes or so. He started off lazy and disengaged and then really ramped it up. Got spoon fed really well by Russ and went on that individual run to close the Q. Had some nice defensive moments, especially late. Not sure how Momoa can knee him and push him in front of the ref and the Grizz win that review. That's nuts.
