Maybe this is Rich Paul's plan? And the **** falls on Simmons if he has the balls to go through with it. They're having to pay him but it's a total cancer and distraction to the team. If he even takes the floor with the team let alone go in a game the fans will make what we did to Kwame for a few games look like nothing. The papers have to be killing him, but this is Klutch's plan to force a trade now? I don't think he will have the balls and this could wreck him and his career? With his psyche? Where's @abeer3 when Philly needs a hand to sort this out?
This kid can't pull this off. He's going to have to eat the money and not get paid. No way he can play with this team. Philly fan may kill him literally the way this is playing out. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/sixers...miss-season-opener-vs-pelicans-162940093.html
What did they expect? A happy reunion? Harden threw balls at people and started fights in practice to get out of Houston. Simmons has a ways to go yet.
players union might get involved here. what's to stop any team from throwing players out of practice on a whim, then suspending them and keeping the cash. luol deng sure as hell wasn't doing what everyone else was doing while he was here. could we have just thrown him out of practice and suspended him without pay? you're not getting lillard. you're not getting 7 draft picks. you're not winning a title.
Is there a general topic to talk only about games? Warriors played really well, had +30 assists, were moving the ball really well. And missing Klay and Wiseman. Poole will be a new Clarkson, Bjelica is a Dray Green version from Wish, Otto Porter gives them good 15 to 20min. They may be scary in the playoffs with a depleted West
LOL what you guys have been saying for years, unnamed NBA executive echoes, Robert Sarver is "cheap". https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nba-exec-robert-sarver-not-155308111.html
Buddy Hield made 4/7 threes last night, with 17, 6 & 2, on +5 overall. Think we could have used that in G1?
Sure, but I don't remember the Lakers having a nearly completed trade for Barnes, only to reverse course and get Westbrook on the same day.
Here's a consolation hug for you below. But you have to watch the whole 10 minutes .... because it was OUR scouts who think they have something here. Lots of blocks, lots of lobs for dunks (mostly against shorter dudes, granted), a few moves in the post, three pointers sprinkled throughout with a decent shooting motion. Yes .... I know he's very pale and doesn't look strong. But I hear from the neighbor's gardener, once again, the staff has almost tracked down Caruso's L.A. "source". Also to counter that probably too strong an impression of weakness I would direct you to 3:37 on the tape where he flexes real strong after a dunk and even has the primal scream part down, often.
Yeah man, my point is that any stats in 1 game don't mean anything. I don't think this wishful thinking of getting Bield or what if scenario helps anyone. We have Russ, a way better player than Hield, and we will need to maximize his production at all costs. That's what we should all be thinking on and discussing. How to put Westbrook in a position where he adds value to the team
Russ may be a way better player on a bad to mediocre team, but I disagree that he is a way better player than Hield on this team. Fit matters. And I've already said in the Russ thread how I think Russ can be maximized and add value to the team: by going crazy leading the 2nd unit and not playing most of his minutes next to LeBron. Make it a 16+16 split instead of 28+6.
people need to realize that westbrook was brought in only because lebron wanted another ball handler to take the load off himself hield would not have been that guy
