    Maybe one day, definitely not in the near future. After trading for Russ, I seriously doubt that our Championship aspirations are hinging on the development of Talen Tucker this season or next.

    If THT starts going the other way in his development, trading him will not be an option. GMs aren't that stupid. He is on board with us for better or worse now.

    I had this thought while playing NBA 2k (lol)….

    If Portland ends up dealing Lillard and goes into full rebuild mode, how would you all feel about a THT for Robert Covington swap?

    Covington fits the Lakers needs perfectly as a 3 and D player, who can both play SF and PF.

    Portland entertains this as they move forward with a rebuild and gets a 21 year old with potential.

    i'd need two 1sts, for real. i think covington is about to fall off, and he's never pushed anyone over the top.

    that said, i see your angle.

    just think both teams say no for good reasons.

    Covington gets torched in 1v1 situations with athletic bigs. OTOH He's really really good as a team defender and playing post defense against bigger defenders but I think i take a pss on this particularly as he's also getting long in the tooth

    he's gotta get better on d. so many times trailing slow around screens put everyone else in scramble mode and gave up straight line drives.

    There’s zero chance of Dallas trading Luka in the next year or 2. If Portland takes that kind of package for Lillard, I’ll ask you to pick my lottery numbers for me.

    Ahah just fooling around. But I do see him really developing well, having some buzz in the media and people starting to believe he's gonna be a big thing and then being used as a trade chip for the next big star coming to LA

    But for now it's irrelevant and let's see the kid develop, gonna be fun

    huge bummer we needed THT to be good this year and this is a setback.


    Sounds like it’ll be either Monk or Ellington will start at SG when the season starts… with Austin Reaves having plenty of playing time

    Damn, definitely not good news. Two of the biggest wings we have. Lebron gonna have to play extra minutes this first weeks of the season

    They will give more minutes to old Ellington and Baze, whose bodies will promptly crumble next. Now, THT could be back in a month or so if everything goes well, but... this is not a good start of the season.
