I think I agree. Kyrie could turn this into a last stand of defiance thing to justify leaving altogether. But something tells me he’ll be here this season, somehow some way.

 

Here's what that 10% of the league who hasn't received the shot has to look forward to this season (in addition to not being able to play in select markets and losing money)

i wonder how consistent fan opinion of the vaccine policy is with fan opinion of stern's weird dress code. was authoritarianism invoked then? i don't remember it. i remember lots of "common decency", and "look professional" takes, though. and your baggy pants weren't going to kill someone's grandma.

if you have a key player that will be unavailable for half your games, that could be a season killer. He has a point.

Something of note I thought was interesting. It says they won't be paid if they don't follow local mandates. This opens the door for LOTS of new requirements throughout the year in each new City. Hopefully that won't happen, but the possibility remains.

sorry--i thought you meant extending the conditions, not the geography. the latter is totally fine and not scary. the former is problematic.

requiring public health measures is neither new nor threatening. so i'm fine with doing the same thing in places that choose to (freedom). as far as extending it, i'd have to hear what that meant. mine was obviously a farce.

 

If you've ever played Balderdash, it's hilarious and frightening to hear some of the laws still on the books in cities all over the place. Truly outdated stuff, wow. Nothing would surprise me.
