it's less about the gender-bending and more about me simply not getting high fashion as a concept, i think. i'm a pretty open-minded person, i would say, but wearing uncomfortable clothing simply because it looks interesting just isn't something i understand.

and maybe his argument is that the kilt and rigid wingtip leather boots are just that. but it seems more like he's just sort of being a shocking doll.

anyway, i ultimately don't care what he does with his time as long as nobody gets hurt.

but i do get to chuckle at his full-length tennis skirt. i'm sure he'd laugh at me in my tie and tennis shoes today.

I get it. You won’t see me wearing that, and trust me, you don’t want to see me wearing that.

One of the Fashion Design profs at my school explained to me how fashion shows work. Fashion shows are for experimenting with new ideas. The creations aren’t taken literally by people in the industry. When you see someone on a runway wearing a tank top made entirely of peacock feathers or whatever, it’s just pushing the boundaries to make designers think of how they can explore or toy with existing practices. Looking at new ways garments are designed, materials are used, etc. Sorta like prototypes for cars or bikes. Ideas, some are visionary, some useless, and not expected to be seen on the road anytime soon, if ever. Components maybe, but rarely the whole package.

And with gender being more fluid for some people nowadays, this skirt or kilt or whatever you wanna call it, is another example of this, but with more legs (pun intended, sad but true) than the peacock feathers or whatever.

Till this day that “Kobe Bryant: White Hot” thread on Clublakers was one of the funniest and most epic message board threads I’ve ever witnessed

well, obviously in some cultures kilts and the like are highly masculine and have long been so.

and that was my sense of what fashion shows are, too, but much like futuristic car shows, the impact is still a bit lost on me. though i would be interested in seeing examples provided by an expert of how the boundary pushing led to functional changes on the broad scale. in other words: what is the potential long term impact of the tennis skirt photo shoot or kobe's hijab/fedora thing?

i wonder how the concepts are pitched to non-fashion models, too.

this was my commentary on our commitment to the unskilled bigs. we're going to have to run.

my comment was more about the patent leather wingtip boots.

i'm sorry to insult your sartorial choices re: skirt.

Great video. We’ll be a deadly team in transition off the back of our defence. I think it’s clear that we’ll start.

    Russ
    SG
    Lebron
    AD
    Howard

That SG will probably be Bazemore, Monk or Ellington. Each have their positives in transition. But Monk could be gold here, between his athleticism and shooting, he should be a great option.

Chick, you can assure your friend that they’re not uncomfortable at all.

I dressed as a girl punk one Halloween during my punk years back in the early 80s or so. A couple punk girls dressed me :Magic Brows:and made me up, and damn I looked gooood. My black combat boots really tied it all together. Only problem is all the dudes at the show were grabbing my a**, which was the only thing not comfortable, and was remedied with some physical negotiations.

But yeah, overall it was pretty comfortable, then again, I am part Scottish.

    Why I share this with y’all, I don’t know.

Eye bleach for those still feeling some type of way about his kilt outfit.

Interestingly, this might be the most normal outfit I’ve seen from Russ, at an event known for the most outlandish outfits

He can walk around in Speedos as far as I am concerned. He just needs to deliver for the Lakers. Win the championship, wear whatever you like! :)
